Traditionally, SCUBA divers have relied on whistles as their only audible surface signaling device. But, if a diver is disabled and can't blow into the whistle, the whistle makes no sound at all. Equally frustrating and dangerous, if a diver needs to attract the attention of someone who is too far away to hear the whistle, the whistle is of no help. 

Or, what would you do if you wanted the attention of your dive buddy underwater, for whatever reason, and he was simply distracted and not paying attention to you at that very moment? Traditionally, you would be forced to swim up to him or her until you got their attention. 

Instead, using the DiveAlert PLUS a diver on the surface can sound a horn blast that can be heard up to a mile away! Or, DiveAlert PLUS can signal a dive buddy underwater! 
 
DiveAlert PLUS is a small and lightweight pneumatic signaling device that harnesses the power of compressed air in your scuba tank to produce a distinctive sound both above and below the surface. Using quick-connect/disconnect couplings, DiveAlert PLUS becomes an integrated part of the power inflator on your BCD. 
 
DiveAlert PLUS does not require any modification of your other equipment, and it does not interfere in any way with the normal operation of your other equipment. 
 
When you need to get someone's attention while on the surface, you simply squeeze DiveAlert PLUS and it diverts a small amount of air from your scuba tank to make a powerful and piercing sound. Or, when you are underwater and want to attract attention, squeeze DiveAlert PLUS and it diverts a small amount of air from your scuba tank to make a buzzing noise to alert your dive buddy. 
 
INSTALLATION - DiveAlert PLUS connects between the power inflator and the low-pressure hose by means of its quick-connect/disconnect hose fittings. 
 
OPERATION - Once the tank is turned on and the DiveAlert PLUS connected, squeeze DiveAlert PLUS a little underwater for a subsurface signal or squeeze it a little harder on the surface for a loud surface signal blast. 
 
Just make sure that before every dive you check that DiveAlert PLUS is installed correctly and functioning properly. Also be careful not to point DiveAlert PLUS toward yourself or toward anyone who is in close proximity to you when you activate the surface signal or loss of hearing could result. 
 
MAINTENANCE - After each use, DiveAlert PLUS should be rinsed with fresh water. This is especially important after use in chlorinated swimming pools and in other water having corrosive substances. Additionally, it is highly recommended that you blow the water out of DiveAlert PLUS before storing. This can be done by pressurizing and activating both the surface and subsurface signaling elements. We recommend that you cup your hand over the surface signaling element to muffle the loud noise.

Safe Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 – Warnings Required

We appreciate your decision to purchase Dive Right In Scuba products to provide the best in water experience. We take our job seriously! You may have noticed that our products now show a warning label at point of sale referring to carcinogens and birth defects. You may also have begun to see warnings related to carcinogenic substances or substances causing birth defects prominently displayed in hotel lobbies, hospitals, or other places of business recently. These warnings are required by the State of California, and we believe that an explanation of the California statute legislating the requirement will provide you valuable information regarding the relative risks of the chemicals that may be present in consumer products.

In 1986, the State of California passed the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act; otherwise known as “Proposition 65” or "Prop 65". Prop 65 requires businesses like ours to disclose to individuals the presence of chemicals listed in the Act prior to point of sale. The regulations implementing this Act have been amended over time with the most recent updates will take effect on August 30, 2018. There are more than 900 chemicals on the Prop 65 Chemical List, including many chemicals that are found in components of a wide array of consumer goods or are used to manufacture components that make up consumer goods.

Prop 65 does not establish acceptable concentrations for any listed chemical; however, the agency which enforces it has established what is called "safe harbor" exposure levels for about one third of these chemicals below which warnings are not required. These "safe harbor" are established for listed carcinogens based on the quantity of the chemical that would result in one excess case of cancer in an exposed population of 100,000, assuming lifetime (70-year) exposure at the level in question. A similar process is used to establish safe harbor levels for listed reproductive toxicants. This allows us to comply with California law and provide our California consumers with the disclosure required by Prop 65, while still promising the safest on water experience possible.

    I had high hopes for the dive alert 2. However, it is extremely bulky in my opinion and interferes with my use of my bc inflator. As a result, for most dives I just take my storm whistle and leave this behind. I'll still use it on dives where there is an increased risk of needing to signal (e.g. currents or a drift dive). I would use it on every dive if it were smaller.

    Haven't had it in the water yet but installed and operated it in my garage..My Dog Flipped Out and Disowned Me..It's that Loud..What I don't really like but will have to live with is that the device extends the point where the inflator hose bends further away from the mouthpiece making the Air2 kind of awkward to use.

    This is a very loud horn. It can be heard by all ships around. Make sure you duck your head underwater if you are using it to alert boats. You may get hearing damage if you do not.

    This is review for DV3 model compatible with Atomic SSI. We purchased two of those Dive alerts from DRIS - Best price on the web. Before start using them we noticed few of our buddies are already have them and we asked them to demonstrate the units.
    On the surface the unit is VERY load no questions about it, however under water we were not able to hear anything even we were 2 feet apart and we can see the bubbles coming out of the dive alert. We were using 7mm hoods but still 2 ft away and unable to hear it when you expecting it...this is not good. It is designed to draw your attention underwater but you cannot hear it at all. It may work fine on warm shallow waters, however does not work at all at 60ft in salt cold water. I am glad we never opened our Dive alerts. We returned them to DRIS and now looking for better option.
    Also with Atomic ISS the dive alert is making the entire regulator very Bulky. Since you are using your alternate regulator as BCD inflate/deflate the DV3 is on the way all the time.

    A very loud horn which is nice if doing drift dives in a roaring current. Have not used it underwater, so cant comment on that feature, but on the surface it is very loud.

Your items will ship insured and you may pay some import duties and taxes based on your Local Government. Lost packages can only be replaced after USPS has issued payment for the lost items.
  US Postal Service Priority Mail International shipping offers you a low-cost and fast delivery option. Not counting time for the package to clear customs, it is about 2 weeks depending on your location. This option does not provide you with realtime tracking information.

  UPS Worldwide Expedited International offers you a fast delivery option to more than 60 countries with rapid in-house customs clearance. Typical delivery times is 1 week to your address. Our shopping cart will not offer you the UPS Worldwide Expedited shipping choice if that service is not available in your country.
  UPS Worldwide Saver International is the absolute fastest delivery method to any country in about 3 business days or less. At Dive Right In Scuba, we are happy to extend our hassle free return policy to our customers: a 60/120-day Satisfaction Guarantee on ALL of our merchandise.

    • If it is within 60 days and the items are in new condition with original packaging, there is a 100% credit or refund* on any item.
    • If its within 30 days and the item is used, feel free to send it back and get a full 100% credit towards new equipment!  Thats right, you can send it back and get something different.  What do we do with these returns?  We have a used section on our website that we sell these at a discounted price!  * DRIS can, at our discretion, change this policy depending on the condition of the return.  Meaning, if you beat it up within 30 days and want to return it, you will NOT get a full refund.  
    • If it is within 60 days and the items are used, or are not returned with the original packaging, it's not a problem, we will provide you with Loyalty Points for 75% of your products purchase price, that can be used to purchase any other product we sell at Dive Right In Scuba*. * This can be changed at our discretion based on how used or damaged a product is*
    • If it is between 60 - 120 days and the items are in new condition, we will provide you with Loyalty Points for 100% of your products purchase price, that can be used to purchase any product we sell at Dive Right In Scuba
    • You never need to contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) –Simply return your product to us with the RMA Form, To ensure that your return/exchange is handled in a speedy manner, always include a copy of your receipt. We do recommend calling with any issues to see what the best course of action is, its not always to just send back….so just give us a call and lets figure out the best response!
    • If you have bought an item and it needs to be returned, your original shipping charges are non refundable.
    • Shipping charges are NOT refundable.  If you received Free Shipping on your order, and return it, the charges for the shipping will come out of your refund.  Shipping is inlcuded if you keep the product, a return voids the free shipping.
  • * Certain Items may incure a 10% re-stocking fee(can be higher dependings on custom options or special order).  High dollar items may have a re-stocking fee which covers transaction and shipping charges.  If it is an exchange, there might not re-stocking fee depending on the situation.  We are people too, so we try to make sure it works for everyone depending on what is going on.
  • * Custom items do not qualify for a full refund.  If an item doesn't fit, we will do everything to make sure you get a proper fit.  But, on custom items, there can't always be a 100% refund, due to the custom nature of the item.

 

To return an item, just follow the simple directions below and we’ll take care of the rest!

 

    1. Pack the item(s) securely. All returned products should be in the condition they were received in, as well as in their original packaging. Please remember to include all warranty cards and manuals.
    2. Please include the RMA Form with a copy of your receipt.
    3. Send your package via UPS, FedEx or insured Parcel Post. (Please note that shipping charges cannot be refunded.) We recommend shipping ALL products back with an Insured Carrier with tracking numbers. This is the only way to track the product to ensure we receive it. Dive Right In Scuba is not responsible for lost or stolen packages due to Shipping Carriers.

 

In the event of any questions or problems with your order, or if the product received was defective or damaged, please contact our Customer Service Department within 60 days of receipt. We will make every effort to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
