About Drysuit Glue - by DRIS Dive Gear SKU: DRISdrysuitg

This 4oz can of Drysuit Glue is perfect for replacing Neck and Wrist Seals, Zippers, Boots, Patches, almost anything you need to repair on your suit.  It also works great on Wetsuits, hoods, gloves!  Comes with Built in Brush..

The 1 Gallon can of Drysuit Glue is perfect for Dive Shops who offer repairs.

Just coat the suit and then coat the seal (see recommended amount of coats below).  Wait about 20-25 minutes (or until lightly tacky), and stick them together.  Go over it with a roller, and then give it a final massage with your fingers to work it all in and get out the bubbles.  Let it dry for about 2 hours and give the suit a leak test.  Viola...you are in action!  If any leaks are found, you can go over the suit with a heat gun and push everything back down or use Aquaseal over the seam to seal it.  Remember not all installs are the same, even on the same suit.

Typical Coats required for different materials (this is an estimate and you should make the final judgement):

Neoprene - 4-5 Coats - Coats can be applied after 10-15 minutes *
Trilam- 2-4 Coats *
Latex- 2-3 Coats
Urethane Interior Suits- 2-3 coats- You can also use Dry Adhesive Tape

* These materials can also use the Dry Adhesive Tape instead of glue.  You will need to do the same amount of coats with Mcnett Seal Cement, let it dry, then adhere the Dry Adhesive Tape to the seal and Seal Cement.  The Tape will not stick to Clothe, but it will stick to the Seal Cement.  The Seal Cement will stick to the clothe...so you just layer it up to give it a bonding platform.

You can also send us your suit for repairs.  You can see our Repair Pricing HERE

Proposition 65

Safe Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 – Warnings Required

WARNING: This Dive Right In Scuba product can expose you to cretin chemicals which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov

We appreciate your decision to purchase Dive Right In Scuba products to provide the best in water experience. We take our job seriously! You may have noticed that our products now show a warning label at point of sale referring to carcinogens and birth defects. You may also have begun to see warnings related to carcinogenic substances or substances causing birth defects prominently displayed in hotel lobbies, hospitals, or other places of business recently. These warnings are required by the State of California, and we believe that an explanation of the California statute legislating the requirement will provide you valuable information regarding the relative risks of the chemicals that may be present in consumer products.

In 1986, the State of California passed the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act; otherwise known as “Proposition 65” or "Prop 65". Prop 65 requires businesses like ours to disclose to individuals the presence of chemicals listed in the Act prior to point of sale. The regulations implementing this Act have been amended over time with the most recent updates will take effect on August 30, 2018. There are more than 900 chemicals on the Prop 65 Chemical List, including many chemicals that are found in components of a wide array of consumer goods or are used to manufacture components that make up consumer goods.

Prop 65 does not establish acceptable concentrations for any listed chemical; however, the agency which enforces it has established what is called "safe harbor" exposure levels for about one third of these chemicals below which warnings are not required. These "safe harbor" are established for listed carcinogens based on the quantity of the chemical that would result in one excess case of cancer in an exposed population of 100,000, assuming lifetime (70-year) exposure at the level in question. A similar process is used to establish safe harbor levels for listed reproductive toxicants. Additional information in plain language on safe harbor levels is available from the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment at http://oehha.ca.gov/Prop65/background/p65plain.html

At Dive Right In Scuba, the safety of your in water experience is our highest priority. We go to great effort to select materials that offer superior value, quality, and durability while also being generally recognized as safe and reliable for the full life of the product. Dive Right In Scuba also works closely with many regulatory bodies, such as the US Coast Guard and Underwriter’s Laboratories, to ensure the longevity of your on-water safety through targeted selection of durable, long lasting materials and components that undergo significant validation testing before being used to manufacture end items. Sometimes the safety promise we offer appears at odds with the health and safety requirements of other legislation in certain parts of the world when some regulations are updated ahead of others. To ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, Dive Right In Scuba has placed a warning on products that contain a Prop 65 listed chemical, either directly or as a part of the raw material supply chain. This allows us to comply with California law and provide our California consumers with the disclosure required by Prop 65, while still promising the safest on water experience possible.

Dive Right In Scuba is working diligently with regulatory bodies and our own manufacturing partners to continue to improve our product performance and reduce the presence of less desirable chemicals. Water is a precious resource we all share that is important to the health and well-being of our planet and all people. Our goal is to continue to enhance your water life experience while reducing our overall impact to the planet and, in particular, its waterways. While it is a bit of a juggling act to achieve, we are confident you will see continued improvement in both the immediate and long term future. We hope this explanation will enable you to understand why you will be seeing warnings on some our products.

Thank you for your continued use of Dive Right In Scuba products.

  1. Not too bad review by Wes on 5/14/2020
    Overall Rating

Using this glue to attach a new zipper to a fabric Gortex type drysuit was relatively successful. One issue I had, The glue did not adhere to the rubber ends of the zipper resulting in needing to sew on and then seam-seal the zipper with aqua seal. The parts of the zipper that are composed of more fabric-like material adhered very well. I also used this glue to attach a new latex neck gasket and apply a fabric patch and it worked well.

  4. Easy to use if you're careful review by Robin on 3/12/2017
    Overall Rating

I used this glue to attach latex wrist and neck seals to my trilam suit. The directions are pretty clear, you just have to be careful to not drip glue everywhere when applying it. I was able to attach all the seals at home on my first try without any prior experience.

  5. Forgiving for Novice review by Steve on 7/3/2016
    Overall Rating

This is a very forgiving glue for someone like me who didn't follow directions to a T. I applied 3 coats on replaceable seal rings and my bi-lam USIA drysuit. I only waited about five minutes in between coats since it dried quickly with high temperatures.

I even peeled some glue off by mistake when parts touched each other. The glue held up well and my first ever ring install was a success with no leaks. It is nice to know the glue bonds strong yet is forgiving of mistakes for someone with no experience.

I used this glue to install SI Tech wrist rings. This glue was easy to work with and the brush in lid can made application easy as can be. apply, let dry and great seals. Save money and dives by using this quality product to get pro results at great savings. I had some simple questions and the staff answered them on a phone call, the advise and product has made my diving year!

  8. good stuff review by Edward on 1/19/2016

Great for dry suit repairs. I patched pin holes on my whites drysuit. The glue has held up well. Be sure to clean and dry the surface you wish to mend. Great u tube videos on the repair process. I used the glue along with the thin tape. A+ so far.

  9. Works on 3L Gore-Tex review by Grant on 1/18/2016
    Overall Rating

This stuff works great to bond latex gaskets directly to 3 layer waterproof breathable fabric like gore tex. Just put a few coats on the fabric and one on the latex and let them dry before you try to bond the seal to the fabric. This glue starts to dry quickly (a minute or two) but takes at least 12 more hours to fully cure so its not tacky at all. I think its best to let the glue dry between coats but I don't think a full cure is necessary until the final bond. Just as easy to use as AquaSeal, a little cheaper and works just as well or better.

  10. Excellent contact cement for latex seal replacement. review by Stan on 11/29/2015
    Overall Rating

Excellent contact cement for latex wrist seal replacement. I used it to glue the latex seals on a crushed neoprene Pinnacle Black Ice drysuit. The product is thick enough not to run, yet the working time in between coats is long enough to prevent a rush. You also have plenty time after the last coat becomes tacky to make the contact seal between suit and cuff. Roll or press to make a strong seal.

Did four coats on the neoprene and two on the latex, two coats on the rubber trim tape and used a third of the small can.

Shipping was fast and the can was packaged well for transit.

  12. Good glue, does what it is supposed to do review by Bob on 9/15/2015
    Overall Rating

I needed to install a set of old DC dry glove rings from my old dry suit to my new suit. I used this glue based on the reviews I read. If you follow the reviews it works very well. No leaks after a week of diving in cold northern Michigan waters. It is a contact cement so line everything up closely and use a heat gun on LOW to help move parts into alignment. Recommend using something for clamping, even a bunch of rubber bands will work well.

  13. Excellent Product review by Chris on 6/28/2015

I used this glue to change the neck seal, and to swap my old Turbo Soles for the DRIS neoprene socks on a DUI TLS 350. I put 4 coats on both sides and used a roller to smooth it all out - and it worked perfect. I had used Amazing Goop on another project but it's too thick. The DRIS Drysuit Glue has a much better consistency that's easier to work with.

This is the second time I've purchased this glue. Make sure to follow the directions as to number of coats and drying time. I've used it for gluing a drysuit pocket and installing a Sitech neck seal. Holds up great. Now, using to replace wrist seals. Would definitely recommend this glue for your projects.

  16. good glue for trilam review by Kihong on 11/14/2014

  18. Easy to work with review by PolarOrbit on 9/26/2014
    Overall Rating

I used this glue to install latex socks and wrist seals on a couple of neoprene drysuits. I followed the directions and put several coats of glue on the suit first and then a couple on the latex and the bond was solid. It took one can to install the one pair of socks and one can to install two pair of wrist seals. Make sure to work in a well ventilated area or you will kill some brain cells.

  19. Great Price - STRONG BOND - Plenty of glue! review by Sean on 9/18/2014

Used this glue to replace the zipper on my Viking Pro 1000. 3 coatings of the glue to ensure a very strong bond, and there has been no leaks whatsoever! Enough glue left in this can to do many more repairs.

  20. Better than Seal Cement review by James on 3/23/2014
    Overall Rating

I've installed a few things with this - oval wrist rings and a pocket on my bilam drysuit. In some comparison tests that I did, it holds up better than Mcnetts Seal Cement. Although, if you're doing a SiTech wrist cuff or neck ring - I would recomend the dry adhesive tape, much easier and more forgiving to use.

  21. Excellent glue review by James on 3/8/2014
    Overall Rating

Used for installation of the Sitech permanent ring system. Straight-forward to use as any other contact cement, though I found this glue is more forgiving than other contact cement I've used in the past for drysuit repair.

When joining two glued surfaces for my wrist rings, the bond was not so instant that any small adjustments that were needed could be made without starting over from scratch.

Took the plunge and put Si tech wrist rings on my bare drysuit so I could use silicon wrist seals. This glue made the job super easy, cleaned with Acetone Used 3 coats on suit and rings, let dry . Placed together, applied heat with gun and done .Used finishing tape and the result was superior to many Professional jobs i paid top dollar for over the years.

The DRIS drysuit glue works really well. It is easy to apply with the included brush which is just the right size. There is plenty of time to apply the layers so you don't have to rush when working with it. Can be used for seals, zipper, etc. I used it glue a tizip zipper on my bare drysuit. It takes a little time but it is straightforward and works well.

This glue was perfect. Called DRIS about installing a neck-tite and they told me how much to use and it worked amazingly well. The brush was exactly as needed to apply to the surfaces.

This glue has become my new favorite glue, I used to use aquaseal for most glue purposes, but aquaseal is difficult to work with and hard to clean up. This glue on the other hand is easy to work with and easy to clean up, I now use this glue when replacing my drysuit seals. I would highly recommend this glue as a part of your tool kit when repairing drysuits.

The glue was easy to use, work we'll had no problems using it at this time. Holds well low order and has a fast set time. The terms of 50 word is not a review yet a short story or booklet on the item. The glue works we'll easy to use a review.

I tore one seal on my Drysuit getting out of it on the last dive of the day and needed to replace it prior to the next weekend.
I ordered a neck seal and a pair of wrist seals on one order and this can of glue on in another order on Monday. All three items arrived on Thursday and I was ready to dive on Saturday. I even got a refund on shipping as DRiS realized my two orders and combined them to save me shipping. Nice that they caught it and saved me some money.

The glue worked great, went on easily, sealed well, no issues at all.

The DRIS drysuit glue works great if you are changing seals out or if you are installing a new seal system, and the guy's at DRIS are the best to deal with if you have a question just ask them they give it to you straight out and they will tell you how to do it the right way.

Nice glue. I checked with my drysuit manufacturer (Pinnacle) and they recommended this glue, and DRIS for it. I used it to attached two pockets to my trilam drysuit. Worked great. Budget about a can per pocket.

I tore a neck seal again and wanted to try some different glue than what I have been using. This stuff is awesome! Just sand and clean the surfaces you are gluing, apply the recommended coats, and adhere. It's that simple. Whats great about this glue is that it dries clear instead of yellow/brown or some other non-attractive color! As always, DRIS was a pleasure to do business with!

This glue does the trick... Thin enough to brush, dries clear... Make sure you buy enough... Trilam is thirsty!

I needed to glue a kneepad back on my drysuit. It is a trilam, so they recommend each piece get 3-4 coats. At that rate, it used 3/4 the container.

    The glue bonded well--very pleased.

This glue does what it's supposed to. It applies easily and even on a canvas 3-bolt standard diving dress, it only took 2 coats to seal. It doesn't set up too quickly, so you have enough time to make sure your ready to apply the seal properly. a great product, and well priced. I'll definitely be buying it again.A+++

The product is an instant contact glue, I suspect it is PB 300. I used it to install a quick change si tec quick change neck seal system. Put 4 coats on each side, 15 minutes between each coat. Install and heat, smooth out completely and works perfect.
Don't order if you need this fast as it took them 5 days before they shipped it. 2 of these were week end. So if you think you will need it soon order it, don't wait until the last minute.

This glue works very well, but be warned once the two surfaces touch each other you do not have any time to make adjustments. Had to get a heat gun and warm it up to move the seal into place. Probably a rookie mistake but after that glue held great and no leaks.

I bought this in conjunction with the si-tech ring cuff system. It was very easy.
I just prepped each surface with some fine sandpaper and multiple passes of MEK cleaner. Then applied three coats to each surface (inside of sleeve and outside of cuff ring) and waited about 15 minutes between each coat, to where it was tacky. Then folded the cuff and put it inside the sleeve and let it go, a few adjustments with a heatgun and it was set. I finished it with some finishing tape for that quality look.

International Orders

Free Ground Shipping with Orders over $500

We also have some of the best shipping times in the world! Being centrally located in the US gives us prime placement. Most orders are to your door, with Standard Freight, in under 10 days!! With most other retailers you have to pay extra shipping costs to get it there that fast.

Dive Right In Scuba’s Free Shipping will apply to standard ground shipping anywhere in the World on orders totaling $500 or more (excludes rebreathers, tanks, compressors, and weights). Sale items also do not qualify for free shipping. If you work out a special price with Dive Right In Scuba in a quote or email, Free Shipping does NOT qualify. If you decide to have expedited shipping, you will be credited the normal ground shipping fee and only pay the difference to the expedited shipping. If you return the product, you will not be credited back for the free shipping.  This applies to addresses where USPS can make a delivery.  If you need other delivery methods, Free Shipping does NOT apply.  If you don't have a physical address to ship to (Utila), Free Shipping does NOT apply.

Super Saver International is offered for FREE on most orders that total over US $500 that are outside the US. The only problem is this shipping method does not provide realtime tracking information. The delivery time is typically 3 weeks or less, and can take longer to some of the more remote locations. Your items will ship insured and you may pay some import duties and taxes based on your Local Government. Lost packages can only be replaced after USPS has issued payment for the lost items.
US Postal Service Priority Mail International shipping offers you a low-cost and fast delivery option. Not counting time for the package to clear customs, it is about 2 weeks depending on your location. This option does not provide you with realtime tracking information.
US Postal Service Express Mail International is a very cost-effective choice for even faster delivery of your dive gear. This option typically takes about 1 week without counting customs clearing. As with the other USPS, there is no realtime tracking on your purchase. This is available in almost 200 countries around the globe.
UPS Worldwide Expedited International offers you a fast delivery option to more than 60 countries with rapid in-house customs clearance. Typical delivery times is 1 week to your address. UPS.com will automatically e-mail you the realtime tracking number when your order ships from Dive Right In Scuba. Our shopping cart will not offer you the UPS Worldwide Expedited shipping choice if that service is not available in your country.
UPS Worldwide Saver International is the absolute fastest delivery method to any country in about 3 business days or less. You will also receive rapid in-house customs clearance when saving time is the utmost concern for receiving your package. UPS.com automatically e-mails you the realtime tracking number when your order ships from Dive Right In Scuba. Some addresses may require additional time for in-country transit due to the remote location of that address. For service availability and exact delivery time commitments visit the UPS.com website for information about your address or contact us for a more accurate quote.

*Your items will ship insured and you may pay some import duties and taxes based on your Local Government. Lost packages can only be replaced after USPS or UPS has issued payment for the lost items. This is why we recommend shipping with UPS for tracking purposes and faster repayment. We have not lost any packages to date, but things can happen.

60/120-Day Return Policy

Hassle Free Returns

At Dive Right In Scuba, we are happy to extend our hassle free return policy to our customers: a 60/120-day Satisfaction Guarantee on ALL of our merchandise.

    • If it is within 60 days and the items are in new condition with original packaging, there is a 100% credit or refund* on any item.
    • If its within 30 days and the item is used, feel free to send it back and get a full 100% credit towards new equipment!  Thats right, you can send it back and get something different.  What do we do with these returns?  We have a used section on our website that we sell these at a discounted price!  * DRIS can, at our discretion, change this policy depending on the condition of the return.  Meaning, if you beat it up within 30 days and want to return it, you will NOT get a full refund.
    • If it is within 60 days and the items are used, or are not returned with the original packaging, it's not a problem, we will provide you with Loyalty Points for 75% of your products purchase price, that can be used to purchase any other product we sell at Dive Right In Scuba*. * This can be changed at our discretion based on how used or damaged a product is*
    • If it is between 60 - 120 days and the items are in new condition, we will provide you with Loyalty Points for 100% of your products purchase price, that can be used to purchase any product we sell at Dive Right In Scuba
    • You never need to contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) –Simply return your product to us with the RMA Form, To ensure that your return/exchange is handled in a speedy manner, always include a copy of your receipt. We do recommend calling with any issues to see what the best course of action is, its not always to just send back….so just give us a call and lets figure out the best response!
    • If you have bought an item and it needs to be returned, your original shipping charges are non refundable.
    • Shipping charges are NOT refundable.  If you received Free Shipping on your order, and return it, the charges for the shipping will come out of your refund.  Shipping is inlcuded if you keep the product, a return voids the free shipping.
  • * Certain Items may incure a 10% re-stocking fee(can be higher dependings on custom options or special order).  High dollar items may have a re-stocking fee which covers transaction and shipping charges.  If it is an exchange, there might not re-stocking fee depending on the situation.  We are people too, so we try to make sure it works for everyone depending on what is going on.
  • * Custom items do not qualify for a full refund.  If an item doesn't fit, we will do everything to make sure you get a proper fit.  But, on custom items, there can't always be a 100% refund, due to the custom nature of the item.

To return an item, just follow the simple directions below and we’ll take care of the rest!

    1. Pack the item(s) securely. All returned products should be in the condition they were received in, as well as in their original packaging. Please remember to include all warranty cards and manuals.
    2. Please include the RMA Form with a copy of your receipt.
    3. Send your package via UPS, FedEx or insured Parcel Post. (Please note that shipping charges cannot be refunded.) We recommend shipping ALL products back with an Insured Carrier with tracking numbers. This is the only way to track the product to ensure we receive it. Dive Right In Scuba is not responsible for lost or stolen packages due to Shipping Carriers.

In the event of any questions or problems with your order, or if the product received was defective or damaged, please contact our Customer Service Department within 60 days of receipt. We will make every effort to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. Customer Service can be reached at 1-815-267-8400 Monday through Friday 11 am - 9 pm Central Time or by emailing us at info@diverightinscuba.com.
