DRY GLOVE SYSTEM

There are many dry glove systems available in the market for advanced drysuit divers. We tested them all and analyzed the pros and cons of each system, trying to find ways to improve and adjust an existing, decent working model into a better performing system. Our criteria is that it has to be easy to mount, dependable, not too bulky, and fit into the existing Waterproof arm design.

We found a 20 year-old patented system that matched our criteria. We evaluated it and worked on solutions. The company that owns the patent was willing to listen to our ideas and work with us to improve and manufacture the resulting design. The result is the new Ultima Dry Glove Ring System. It fits directly in all* Waterproof Drysuits with Integrated Silicone Seals, ISS. And it can also be mounted to all drysuits with fixed latex seals. The Gloves are easy to mount before diving. You can see, hear, and feel when the ring connects properly or when you disconnect it. This system is as close to "fool proof" as it gets! The solid rings on the suit and gloves can easily be mounted in advance. The Ultima system can be attached to all drysuit Latex seals to achieve a complete dry glove system.
 
*The Ultima Dry Glove System does not t directly into size 3XL, 3XL/t+ due to larger wrist rings. For these sizes we recommend the Quick Glove system from SI TECH.

We appreciate your decision to purchase Dive Right In Scuba products to provide the best in water experience. We take our job seriously! You may have noticed that our products now show a warning label at point of sale referring to carcinogens and birth defects. You may also have begun to see warnings related to carcinogenic substances or substances causing birth defects prominently displayed in hotel lobbies, hospitals, or other places of business recently. These warnings are required by the State of California, and we believe that an explanation of the California statute legislating the requirement will provide you valuable information regarding the relative risks of the chemicals that may be present in consumer products.

In 1986, the State of California passed the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act; otherwise known as “Proposition 65” or "Prop 65". Prop 65 requires businesses like ours to disclose to individuals the presence of chemicals listed in the Act prior to point of sale. The regulations implementing this Act have been amended over time with the most recent updates will take effect on August 30, 2018. There are more than 900 chemicals on the Prop 65 Chemical List, including many chemicals that are found in components of a wide array of consumer goods or are used to manufacture components that make up consumer goods.

Prop 65 does not establish acceptable concentrations for any listed chemical; however, the agency which enforces it has established what is called "safe harbor" exposure levels for about one third of these chemicals below which warnings are not required. These "safe harbor" are established for listed carcinogens based on the quantity of the chemical that would result in one excess case of cancer in an exposed population of 100,000, assuming lifetime (70-year) exposure at the level in question. A similar process is used to establish safe harbor levels for listed reproductive toxicants. Additional information in plain language on safe harbor levels is available from the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment at http://oehha.ca.gov/Prop65/background/p65plain.html

    Was looking to add a dry glove system to my dry suit that had glued on latex seals. DRIS recommended this set. Everything I found about these sails o’rings were hard to install and to pre stretch them. I just soaked them in them in hot water from the faucet, and they went right on no problem. Not sure weather or not I want to trim off the latex seal inside the rings. Definitely never going back to wet gloves.

    I had the SiTech Quick Lock glove system on my previous trilam suit, but while the gloves were somewhat easy to get on and off, the rings were huge on my small hands/wrists. I got a Fusion Fit a few weeks ago that came with SiTech oval rings. I knew I wanted dry gloves, and the DRIS manager recommended the Ultima system. The rings are much easier to get onto latex gloves, but those didn't fit my hands well. I stayed with the blue Atlas smurf gloves that fit well. Getting the gloves on the rings isn't the easiest, but the results are worth it. Warm, dry hands with gloves that go on easily and come off easily (just need to pull a bit or use the included little red tool). Dang near fool proof to lock on.

    I have a DUI suit with zip seals, and find that having gloves attached all the time is a pain. I bought the ultima dry glove system and easily hooked the rings to a zip seal. No issues in the seal then being able to be removed or replaced. The gloves go on easy and off just as easy. I've had other rings like Kubi, that I had to pry them open with my harness buckle. I love them for their ease of use and secure connection. The only issue I have is that with retrofitting my suit with the ultima dry glove system the arms are a little long and when gloves are not attached the rings cut in a bit when i bend my wrist to reach d rings or what not. Not the rings fault.

    I have held off on buying dry gloves for so long despite diving in some very cold water. All I would see was other divers having one problem after another. Didn't matter the brand, they all seemed so problematic. I have several Waterproof products and I've been very happy with them. Dry suit; hood; 1.5 mm, 5 mm & 7 mm gloves. The 7 mm 3 digit have always kept hands warm, but they did limit dexterity and required some extra work to do anything. Then I received an email promoting the Ultima gloves. After checking them out, some research online and among buddies, their website and videos I decided they really looked like a solid system. Dove them yesterday for the first time and I must say I was quite impressed. Simple to get on, great dexterity in and out of water. I did a 143 min dive in 48 F and my hands never got cold. No issues during the dive and I have got to say I will never dive in semi-dry or wet gloves again in cold water.

    I'm always cold, and was a bit skeptical about how much of a difference dry gloves make, but having toasty warm hands really made me feel warmer overall. The system is made out of pretty rugged plastic, and doesn't feel cheap or delicate. I had no problems figuring out how to install the gloves on my suit (Aqualung Fusion with the SLT oval rings)-- the oval rings on the suit come off and the Ultima rings snap on in their place.

    I did have trouble installing the glove rings on the gloves, and it initially seemed pretty impossible, but after mounting just the glove O-ring and leaving it for 2 days, it was pretty easy. I'd recommend "pre-stretching" the O-rings before attempting to put them on gloves.

    I had a small leak on one dive, but it was my own fault as I neglected to check that the glove liner and glove inner part were away from the O-ring. Otherwise the gloves were totally dry and really easy to install- the "click" is reassuring. I'd recommend these to anyone who wants to be a little warmer and wants a reliable dry glove system.

    The Waterproof Ultima Dry Glove system is your friend in the water.

    Nothing worse than cold and numb hands when diving. The Ultima Dry Glove System works like a charm. This system is functional, well manufactured, and doesn't leak.

    When you install this system, there are outer gloves and inner gloves. The outer glove is the waterproof part. The inner glove is like mittens that keep your hands warm. The kit comes with the rings but not the gloves. You can choose your favorite inner/outer glove combination to make you happy.

    I have the WP ISS D7 drysuit. Recently purchased the Ultimate rings. I have made 10 dives and had 0 issues. Easy to install took me about 20 minutes start to finish. The o'ring clicks solidly into place and once it's clicked you are set to dive. I would recommend these rings to anyone with the oval ring system in their dry suit. Great product

    I concur with the other reviewers; this system is wonderful! I've been using the Antares system on my D7 for the past two years and it was a continuous string of headaches. This Ultima glove system is what I expected from WP in the first place. It is easy to don/doff and keeps me completely dry. I just wish I hadn't wasted the money on the Antares system before this came out.

    Like the other reviewer, I used Diving Concepts rings on a different suit for years. They were simple and bulletproof. The patent referred to in the Ultima description must be the DC patent because the system is identical, if not more durable.

    When I got my WP ISS suit, I went with Antares rings since they were the only available option at the time. After much messing around and many leaks, I finally figured out how to make them work, but they were still very fussy, not super durable, and had to be used with special, expensive gloves I couldn't find locally.

    So when the Ultima rings came out, I ordered right away. Now I have the winning combination of easily replaceable silicone seals with ISS, simple and durable rings, and the ability to use cheap $6 smurf latex dipped smurf gloves.

    I have the Waterproof D7 Cordura drysuit and the ultima dry glove system is the best dry glove system out there for the oval replaceable wrist system to date. The Antares from Si Tech is finicky and the Virgo system also from Si Tech has proven to have its quirks as well. The Ultima system is easy to use and has had 100% reliability so far. Good Job Waterproof!

    I have a Waterproof dry suit with the ISS system on the wrists and I have been using the Si Tech Antares system for dry gloves...and these are far superior to the Antares system in both durability and function.

    These are solid, circular rings without any tabs to bend or break like the Antares rings.

    They are "identical" to the ring system that Diving Concepts used (I have one of their suits with the rings) and those rings never failed me once.

    Since these Ultima rings are the same, I don't expect them to fail either! I have already put 4 dives on them and they work flawlessly...and since they are circular, you don't have to align them like the oval Antares system.

    Don't bother buying the Antares system; spend the extra $ on the Ultima system and you will not be disappointed.

    • If it is within 60 days and the items are used, or are not returned with the original packaging, it's not a problem, we will provide you with Loyalty Points for 75% of your products purchase price, that can be used to purchase any other product we sell at Dive Right In Scuba*. * This can be changed at our discretion based on how used or damaged a product is*
    • If it is between 60 - 120 days and the items are in new condition, we will provide you with Loyalty Points for 100% of your products purchase price, that can be used to purchase any product we sell at Dive Right In Scuba
    • You never need to contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) –Simply return your product to us with the RMA Form, To ensure that your return/exchange is handled in a speedy manner, always include a copy of your receipt. We do recommend calling with any issues to see what the best course of action is, its not always to just send back….so just give us a call and lets figure out the best response!
    • If you have bought an item and it needs to be returned, your original shipping charges are non refundable.
    • Shipping charges are NOT refundable.  If you received Free Shipping on your order, and return it, the charges for the shipping will come out of your refund.  Shipping is inlcuded if you keep the product, a return voids the free shipping.
  • * Certain Items may incure a 10% re-stocking fee(can be higher dependings on custom options or special order).  High dollar items may have a re-stocking fee which covers transaction and shipping charges.  If it is an exchange, there might not re-stocking fee depending on the situation.  We are people too, so we try to make sure it works for everyone depending on what is going on.
  • * Custom items do not qualify for a full refund.  If an item doesn't fit, we will do everything to make sure you get a proper fit.  But, on custom items, there can't always be a 100% refund, due to the custom nature of the item.

 

To return an item, just follow the simple directions below and we’ll take care of the rest!

 

    1. Pack the item(s) securely. All returned products should be in the condition they were received in, as well as in their original packaging. Please remember to include all warranty cards and manuals.
    2. Please include the RMA Form with a copy of your receipt.
    3. Send your package via UPS, FedEx or insured Parcel Post. (Please note that shipping charges cannot be refunded.) We recommend shipping ALL products back with an Insured Carrier with tracking numbers. This is the only way to track the product to ensure we receive it. Dive Right In Scuba is not responsible for lost or stolen packages due to Shipping Carriers.

 

In the event of any questions or problems with your order, or if the product received was defective or damaged, please contact our Customer Service Department within 60 days of receipt. We will make every effort to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
