Become a Certified Open Water Diver

You have seen the photos and watched the documentaries. Now it is time to live the experience yourself. The Open Water Diver certification is your permanent ticket to adventure. It qualifies you to rent equipment and dive with a buddy anywhere on the planet, from the tropical reefs of the Caribbean to the historic shipwrecks of the Great Lakes. At Dive Right In Scuba, we turn landlubbers into confident explorers through a fun, safe, and flexible training program.

How You Earn Your Certification

We break the learning process down into three manageable steps so you can learn at your own pace:

  • Step 1: eLearning. You do not need to sit in a classroom all weekend. Our online learning modules let you master the theory and safety concepts from the comfort of your couch. You cover the physics and physiology of diving on your schedule before you ever get wet.
  • Step 2: Pool Sessions. This is where the fun begins. You will join our expert instructors in a safe and controlled pool environment to practice your skills. We focus on buoyancy control, mask clearing, and equipment handling until they become second nature.
  • Step 3: Open Water Dives. Ideally, you will put everything you learned to the test. You will complete four exciting open water dives in a local quarry or lake under the supervision of your instructor. This is where you prove you have what it takes to explore the open water safely.

The Dive Right In Difference

We offer courses from PADI and SDI, the two leading agencies in the world. This ensures your certification card is recognized wherever you travel. We believe that panic comes from a lack of training, which is why we keep our class sizes small. You get personalized attention from passionate instructors who want you to love this sport as much as they do. We don't just teach you to survive underwater; we teach you to thrive.

Stop watching from the surface. Sign up for your Open Water Diver course and take the plunge today!
