OSHA-Compliant Training for Real-World Missions

Public Safety Diving (PSD) isn't a sport; it is a discipline governed by strict regulations and unforgiving environments. ERDI (Emergency Response Diving International) is the only training agency exclusively dedicated to public safety diving, designed to meet OSHA and NFPA standards. At Dive Right In Scuba, we provide the specialized instruction your department needs to remain compliant, effective, and safe. Whether you are a rural volunteer fire department or a major metropolitan police force, our ERDI courses build the foundation for successful underwater operations.

Core Competencies: ERD I & II

We take you from the classroom to the black water.

  • ERD I: This is the entry-level certification for all public safety divers. You will learn the critical role of the tender, line signals, and search patterns in zero visibility. It establishes the baseline for safe scene processing.
  • ERD II: When the mission gets tougher, you need advanced skills. This course focuses on dry suit operations, full face mask usage, and operating in contaminated water environments.

Command the Scene: Supervisor & Instructor

A dive team is only as good as its leadership.

  • ERD Supervisor: The most critical person on a dive isn't always in the water. This course teaches you to manage the chaos of a crime scene or rescue operation, conduct risk assessments, and make the "go/no-go" call.
  • ERD Instructor: Bring the training in-house. We certify experienced professionals to teach the ERDI curriculum, allowing your department to maintain its own readiness and train new recruits to a standardized level.
