The Professional Ladder 

Whether you want to guide tours in the Caribbean or teach locally in the Chicago suburbs, we have a program for your goals:

  • Divemaster: The first step into the professional world. You will hone your rescue skills, learn to supervise divers, and become a mentor to students.
  • Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI): This is where you earn the license to teach. Our Instructor Development Course (IDC) prepares you to shape the next generation of divers.
  • Continuing Education: Don't stop at the basics. Become a Specialty Instructor to teach what you love, or climb the ranks to Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) and IDC Staff Instructor to help train new pros.
  • Course Director: We are one of the few facilities with the expertise to train Course Directors, the pinnacle of the scuba world.
