Course Director Preparatory Course - PADI

Course Directors teach PADI Instructor Development Courses (IDCs) and other instructor-level training, and thus are the scuba diving industry’s most influential leaders and role models. This rating is the highest and most respected professional rating in recreational scuba diving. To become a Course Director you must earn a spot in a Course Director Training Course (CDTC) through a competitive application process that examines your experience and training goals.

Teaching instructors is very rewarding and also a wonderful way to make a living. To become a PADI Course Director you will need to go through at least 3 to 5 IDC programs. As well as meet all the other requirements such as teaching 250 people. You will need to learn how to evaluate candidates in academic, confined water and open water. During this process you need to evaluate the IDC candidates with precision and accuracy.

Our prep program allows you to work with a Course Director and participate in three Instructor Development Programs. During which you learn how to conduct the AI program and the OWSI program. You will also be shown how to score a presentation and the most important process will be how to evaluate a candidate.

We will also guide you through the application process, helping you with your business plan, providing a letter of recommendation, and helping with other areas of your application as needed.
