About Silicone Wrist Seals - by Si Tech SKU: siliconwrist

These one size fit most wrist seals are AMAZING!!!  Black silicon, never needs to be trimmed, and extremely comfortable.  You will need a wrist system, Oval Permanent Wrist System, or Round Permanent Wrist System,  to attach these to your suit.  They WILL NOT hold with any glue.  See the above video for the wrist system we sell.  You can add it yourself or send your suit to us and we can install it for you. See all of our Services HERE!!  The nice thing about having such a system installed is that you will never need to pay for wrist seal installation again.  You can quickly change out your wrist seals yourself.  No more worries about a ruined dive trip due to a blown seal!

Sold as a pair

Standard Size Wrist circumference 13.2-17 cm (5.2-6.9")*

Small Size Wrist circumference 10.6-15 cm (4.2-5.9")

Even though silicone seals are better in many way than regular latex seals they still must be handled with care.

Please handle them with care. Overstretching, sharp objects and poor trimming can cause your seal to tear.

Even if the silicone seals have more stretch than latex seals, do not stretch the seal more than required. Assist yourself with a free hand when pulling the seals over your head or hands - both for the seal and your comfort.

Avoid contact with sharp objects, like finger nails or rings, when handling seals.

Use a product such as talcum, on a regular basis to minimize frictional strain on the seal and for personal comfort.

When trimming seals, use sharp scissors. Cut edges should be as smooth and straight as possible. Do not trim across trim lines. Avoid sharp edges.

**We do not warranty this item if you go to extreme lengths to stretch this seal.  You CAN rip this if you try.  Only use this as you would with your normal latex seals.  Do not attempt to stretch this beyond those latex capabilities as it will not be covered if you rip them**

I bought the sitech oval rings to use with the Ultima dry glove ring system. I used heat tape to mount the suit ring to my Fusion drysuit. The Ultima suit ring and silicone wrist seal installed easily and directly to the sitech oval suit ring. It’s a more compact and cleaner way of mounting the Ultima rings vs mounting the Ultima ring to the latex seal. Plus easier to change out the seal when needed.

  2. No more itchy wrists review by Derek on 5/12/2018

These soft, smooth seals are the perfect solution to a latex allergy. They seal better than latex and are easier to doff and don. You won't find a better price on them anywhere!

  3. Fits my skinny wrists review by kerneels on 11/20/2017

The first seals I have ever used that actually keep water from leaking between the tendons on my wrists and the seals's surface. Extremely comfortable. No more latex for me.

  4. Very comfortable review by gabriel on 8/28/2017
    Overall Rating

Great price. These seals are very soft and comfortable. Easy to install with dry glove system. There was no need to cut due to the elasticity of the seals. Just spray a little bit of baby shampoo and water (mixture) on inner seal and your hand and seal slides right on making a perfect seal everytime. Some reviews question the reliability of these seals, however I've have mine on my Whites dry suit for about 4 years or north east diving and no problems.

  5. Best wrist seal I've used review by John on 8/16/2017
    Overall Rating

These wrist seals rock. when I first started diving dry I used rental suits with latex seals and they worked about %75 of the time. I would come up with a wet sleeve pretty often. Went I go my own suit with SI Tech rings I immediately picked up some silicone seals. Quick and easy to install and best of all my drysuit was finally keeping me dry with no trimming required.

  6. Comfortable review by Bryan on 8/12/2017
    Overall Rating

I replaced my latex seals with the silicone seals on my dry suit. I found the comfort level of the silicone seals to be very satisfactory. The latex seals required too much maintenance. I had to powder them after cleaning my suit and prior to putting it into storage. With the latex I just clean the suit and store it away for the next dive. Just be careful stretching the seals too far with your fingers they can rip if not careful. Over all a great product.

  7. A must for latex sensitive people. review by Kenneth on 1/29/2017
    Overall Rating

Switched from my latex seals to these. If you have allergies to latex, these are the way to go. So comfortable and water tight. Make the switch now. Great with my sitech wrist ovals! If you need to trim them, stretch over stainless water bottle or pvc pipe for perfect trim.

  8. You can't go wrong with Silicone review by Andrew on 12/29/2016
    Overall Rating

My wife bought her drysuit before me and chose to go with a DUI w/ latex zip seals. Dive after dive she would either leak at her wrists or complain about the latex pulling on little hairs. My first drysuit went straight to DRIS for the SI Tech replacement seals and I couldn't be happier. So easy to don and replace as needed.

  9. Best seals I have found review by Wayne on 8/19/2016
    Overall Rating

These are the best seals I have found. They are soft and comfortable on the wrist and haven't leaked on me yet. You do have to be careful not to pull too hard on the seals then doning and doffing to make sure you don't tear them. They aren't that fragile, but I have torn one before being careless.

  10. Better than Latex review by Wayne on 8/4/2016
    Overall Rating

I use these with my fusion dry suit with the gloveloc system. The work well and are very comfortable. The only issue I have is they do tear easily relative to latex. I would highly recommend though due to their comfort. They have also saved a dive for me as I was able to replace the one that I tore with a spare.

  11. Can't go wrong review by Andrew on 8/3/2016

These are great silicone wrist seals. My first pair lasted many dives and if it wasn't for me doing something stupid they would still be working. Only lost 1.
Work great with the SiTech Oval system making replacement very easy.
Never had any leaks using these seals and they feel comfortable around my wrist.

  12. Great seals review by Quinn on 6/14/2016
    Overall Rating

I've had the oval wrist system with silicone seals on my suit for a couple of years now, probably have 300 dives on them. I am a big fan of the silicone wrist seals. Easy to get on and off and (more importantly) more comfortable than latex or neoprene when you are in your suit for long periods of time. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is that it is really hard to tell when the silicone is fatigued. Both of my original seals went within a week of each other and neither showed obvious signs of strain. Fortunately it is just a matter of minutes to switch them out for new ones.

As always it was easy to work with DRIS, good communication and quick delivery.

I purchased these to use with the SI Tech Oval Wrist System, and they fit great in that system. I didn't need to trim them at all and from what I've seen they're really durable and stretchy.

  17. Nice wrist seals! review by Will on 2/25/2016

I am glad that these are offered up to use so that we can change our seals on site now and not have to send the entire suit to factory to get them replaced. If they rip, swap them in just a few mins and go right back to diving. I suggest carrying a spare pair in your dive bag as back ups.

  18. Easy to change out review by Rich on 12/22/2015

It's good that these are such an easy to use solution for changing out ripped seals as you will changing these out more often then normal cheaper latex seals.

They are super comfy and work great with my antares ring system

I got these as a backup and ended up using them sooner than I thought. I wish I had been using them the entire time because they are so much sturdier than my latex seals. Dive Right in Scuba is a great shop, fast shipping, great customer service. Would use them again!

  21. Very comfortable review by Simon on 7/1/2015
    Overall Rating

I had these fitted by DRIS along with the SI-Tech oval system after I had seal leakage on 4 out 5 dives on a recent trip. I do have prominent tendons on my wrists which creates seepage with the latex seals. A test dive at weekend of 62 minutes showed no sign of leaks despite my best efforts to make them leak and some strange looks from my dive buddy.
As a bonus, they are very comfortable. My wrists are 7" diameter so I ordered the standard size and they did not require any trimming.

  22. Excellent and comfortable seals review by Jonathan on 12/6/2014

Great seals, much more comfortable than latex and more effective than neoprene. They are relatively easy to change and can be done on a boat (in a hurry!) if required - i always carry a spare!

Thank goodness for size small vs standard. I was getting soaked up to my elbows before ordering these.

  25. These are great, but always carry a spare review by Christopher on 6/23/2014
    Overall Rating

In terms of comfort and quality of water tight seal, these are the best. The only down side when these seals tear, they fails fast and completely and often without warning, unlike latex seals which can appear beat up for a while before tearing.

That said, these are great, and as long as you always have a spare the system is perfect.

  28. review by Dr J Keith Partlo on 11/18/2013

Silicon seals are comfortable . I used to have problems with latex seals . To prevent leakage they had to be so tight they cut down circulation to my hands. Silicon seals have so much stretch you dont even have to trim them.I bought backup seals to switch out if needed but they have not been required. The only con so far is they attract dirt but a little precaution or a quick rinse solves that problem.

  29. review by Steven Wilson on 10/30/2013

Great product. Much easier to don and doff than their latex counterparts. The ribs that serve as trim lines seem to form gaskets themselves which should provide a good seal. I cant wait to try them out in the water!

I ordered these for my Whites Fusion Tech drysuit (as a spare pair for the SLT system w/Oval wrists). In the middle of a dive trip, I accidentally tore one of my wrist seals while quickly undressing. In any other drysuit, this could mean the end of a day's diving--with my spare silicone wrist seals I was able to have my suit "ready to dive" in about 5 minutes. Highly recommended for your "Save-a-dive" kit!

These seals are fantastic. They are comfortable, very stretchy, and very easy to swap out on a ring system.

As always DRIS was a pleasure to work with.

  32. review by Nick Rhoads on 7/6/2013

Very comfortable and nearly maintenance free. You need to be careful while donning/doffing as they will give way with no warning. With the Si-Tech wrist cuff though, it is possible to dive with a ripped seal as long as you have dry gloves as the seals remain in tact with the glove system (I use the pull over gloves). 4 out of 5 only for price.

Do not even look at latex anymore. These are supple. They rest much lighter on the skin, which makes it feel like it won't seal, but it does. Such a comfortable upgrade, the neck seal is next!

I love the silicone wrist seals. This is my second year wearing them and I wouldn't wear anything else. They are so comfortable and easy to put on and off. Changing them out on my drysuit is a snap, takes only a couple of minutes each to do. If your thinking about trying these don't hesitate, just get them!

This is my second set of these on a Whites Catalyst 360 drysuit. They are great - MUCH more comfortable than latex. Strongly advise using talc powder every dive to prolong life if you are constantly getting in/out - they will tear if you get lazy and try to stretch your hand through. Wish they were just a tad thicker for durability, but if you care for them right, you will find they are much more comfortable in and out of the water. Worth every penny.

I just installed the Si Tec Quick Change Wrist Seal System- with help from the pros at DRIS- It went rather smoothly!! I used the Aqua-Seal instead of the dry tape so it was a bit more work, but it looks perfect and works flawlessly!!!!! Now adding the silicone wrist seals- after a bit of perfect trimming- they are the cats A##. I love them and they are worth every penny!!!!

Shipped as is and fast, perfect. And what can you say, they are silicone wrist seals, awesome. Way better than the thick latex ones, and more durable in my opinion. Be careful of them when they are cold, they will rip just like latex ones.

Bought these as backups for my SiTech wrist seals. They are super-stetchy, and I don't even notice them on my wrists, even without trimming. I have yet to determine their longevity, but their convenience in unrivaled. Perfect.

These sci tech silicone wrist seals just work. 5 minute change out and ready to dive. I was pretty surprised when I managed to rip one, but dealing out a new one was no fuss. Dive right shipped on time and always reads and respond to order notes (which I really respect).

  40. review by Scott Mitten on 2/8/2013
    Overall Rating

I've had Silicon seals on my suit since they were first introduced with the Whites Fusion Drysuit. I made the mistake of overstretching one of the wrist seals, which caused it to rip. This was completely user error - the seals themselves didn't show any sign of wear, and looked as good as when new. My replacement set was sent quickly and arrived in great condition. I know some say they are not as durable as Latex, but I disagree. With proper handling (don't do what I did) they should last a long time. These are not thin knock-off seals - they are the true Si Tec ones.

  41. review by Matt Herr on 2/4/2013
    Overall Rating

Silicone seals are much easier to put on (wet or dry) compared to latex. They stretch so nice that I don't trim these at all. Very comfortable for long wear duration. They last (prior to tearing) not as long as latex, but the comfort and ease of use (no more powder) is well worth it to me. My last set lasted approx 40 dives until I got a tear. Only bad on these is that once a tear starts it goes completely bad almost immediately. Therefore I keep a backup set on-hand so I can change at dive site if needed. DRIS has always been very helpful at answering all my questions and helping me decide on various gear. Can't say enough about their service!

Finally was able to get my latex wrist seals out of my suit after sending a message to Mike at DRIS. He sent me a link to this video that shows how to remove the seals from a Si-Tech cuff seal system.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-6-2kE6-74
    Worked like a charm.

    Now to the seals.
    2 words, Love Them.
Easy to get in and out of, did not have to trim and you cant even tell they are there.
Excellent product and well worth the $$. Great value.

Si Tech silicone wrist seals. I installed these on my wifes drysuit that had latex. She did not like the latex as they were to tight and if trimmed for comfort leaked. These seals did the trick, no trimming and so very comfortable. No problems did everything there suppose to, they also seam very tuff. DRIS did an exceptional job from great pricing, free FAST shipping and as a bonus they give reward points for future purchases.

These seals were purchased because of excellent reviews, and they definitely filled the bill. Very flexible and urable, even in -25C temeratures(Though I don't recommend that kind of a test) A latex seal would have been shredded. you have to use a ring system, because I don't know of any glue that would hold to silicone and the suit. I used them on a typhoon ring system, and they were simple and easy to install. I'm going to be buying more for my other suits. A++++++.

Bought these seals as replacements in the wife's drysuit. They were shipped immediately. These silicone seals are replacing latex seals. The latex seals were watertight and never leaked, but they began to degrade over time. They were also harder to get on and off her wrists. So far, the silicone seals are much easier to don and remove, and they are dry, too!

replacing the wrist seals with this system is so easy it's scary. No tools, no skill involved. Watch the video and it's so easy it's ridiculous. NICE system to have as I believe the silicone seals (a) are tougher and yet at least as comfortable as latex, (b) definitely last longer than latex, and (c) are way easier to replace than latex. All in all, a big win.

These seals are so soft and comfortable, I thought that I trimmed the seal too short at first because you barely notice it on your wrist but it has not leaked once. It is nice to be able to have spare seals with you just in case something happens, only takes a couple minutes to change and won't miss a dive because of seals. I have heard lots of people complain about these tearing, but I would sure like to know what they are doing to them because I find them really tough and durable yet soft and flexible. These are definately worth the extra money to get put on a drysuit and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks again DRIS for the great customer service and advice.

    What a great product!

I'm using them in conjunction with the SI Tech Permanent Wrist Rings and Glove Lock rings.

The seals themselves are super soft and stretchy, my wrists are about 7.0 inches in circumference and initially I dove 2 days without trimming the seal opening with no discomfort or numb hands just to get a starting point. The only reason I trimmed the seals was to make it easier to get my hands out after the dive when the talc has warn / washed off. Speaking of talc, I find it required with these seals. I almost never used it with latex seals unless I was sweating, but the silicone seems to grab more, not a negative thing just an observation. Overall I find the seals extremely comfortable, although I never found latex uncomfortable. The main difference I notice is there is more, a longer portion, of the seal in contact with my wrist because the silicone is softer and conforms more.

As to what some of the other reviewers have said; I have not found the seals any more delicate or easier to tear than latex, just as latex if you leave a jagged cut I’m sure it will tear. When installing these in the permanent wrist rings a little spit (or soap I guess) makes pressing the seals and inner rings into place way easier. I removed and installed the setup 4 or 5 times showing my friends and by the end I had the technique down making it considerably easier.
    Thanks again DRIS Team.

I had a pretty bad time with these seals. There was a lot of water leaking up my arms -- whether that was because of a bad seal at the wrist (I have small wrists with large tendons) or some issue with installation in the Si-Tech cuff I don't know. The same day I installed them, one of the seals tore when I was removing my suit.

Maybe this was all user error, but it wasn't a good experience and I certainly wish I had my $54.99 back. Back to the bad old bottle seals for me.

incredible product! pair of black silicone wrist seals from si tech ab have part number #61020 imprinted on the sides. installs into the si tech quick cuff system (#60910). but it takes a ton of elbow grease and patience to take the seals off for replacement. whew! press the lip into the second-to-last groove for best fit. the soft, supple material precludes the need for trimming for all but the largest wrists. installing these is the easiest to make your whites fusion even more comfortable!

Installed on my drysuit, these are far more flexible and comfortable than the original latex seals, and seem pretty tough. Use a little caution, and the right compression ring (black if you have the Si-Tech dry glove sytem) to avoid tearing on installation.

I had DRIS install the permanent wrist rings as well as put these seals in my Fusion suit. I must say that these seals are awesome for a number of different reasons. The flexibility of the seals is fantastic - I would guess 2-3 times more flexible than the latex seals. I'm guessing that due to the increased flexibility that they will be more resistent to tears and ripping.

In regards to trimming the seals, I have quite large wrists and yet I don't plan on trimming my seals at all. This is not because the seal is designed for large wrists, but because it is so flexible and yet I don't even feel the seal on my wrist during the dive. Currently the excess seal just folds over itself and I have had no problems with sealing at all.

I'm quite excited to see the silicone neck seals and get those on my suit as well. Highly recommended!

If you need to replace your old worn out wrist seals or if the ones you have leak or make your hands go numb, this is the seal for you.

I put these on my suit in about 2 minutes each using the permanent wrist rings and glove locks for dry gloves system from Si Tech. I used a little soapy water to lube them up and they slid right in place. It took me longer to get the package open and then snatch them off the wrists of my dive buddy. Everyone who sees these things will want some of their own.

These seals are super comfortable and you will be amazed how well they seal on your bony wrists. This past weekend I wore my dry suit, with these seals attached, continuously for over 8 hours and when I finally took the suit off there were no marks or redness where the seal had been gripping my wrist. Thanks for the great advice Mike!

Got the silicone wrist seals. I installed them myself ( bit of a pain getting the old latex seals off, as I have never done it before).

New SILICONE wrist seals feel great - they do not feel as snug as latex, but it is a matter of habit.

Putting new seals in was simple - but IN is easier than the OUT.

I still need to make a dive with the new seals.

The shop was excellent is dispatching the merchandise, but it took two weeks to arrive in Canada. I guess the USPS International Priority Mail is the way to go.

These things are fantastic, I'm already looking to convert to the neck seal system next! No leaks, and I felt like I could leave my suit on all day, no pressure from the wrist seals at all.

These are a great product, I'm in the process of convincing our shop to start stocking and selling them now.

After watching the video I called Mike to ask some questions before purchasing. He gave great info. I purchased these seals in combination with the Si-Tec permanent rings and dry adhesive tape. The combination of the 3 products worked fantastic. I'm very happy with the install. The seals are really something. I notice they are contacting my wrist over a larger area than my last set of latex bottle-neck seals, but do so with less overall pressure (a good thing). They are very comfortable but seal well. I look forward to seeing how long they last. I expect they will last much longer than latex wrist seals which I've been having to swap out almost once per year. I'm equally pleased with the rings which will allow seal swaps in seconds and without glue. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I was a bit of a skeptic about these new kind of seals, but since I needed a new set, I thought I'd give them a try. These are the most comfortable wrist seals I've ever worn on a suit, and form a great seal as well. I didn't even need to worry about trimming, I just slipped them on the quick cuff and went diving.

During a visit to the store, these seals were recommended by Mike. I tried them on and they felt incredible.

So, I had DRIS install the Si-Tek quick ring system, a new zipper, and these seals just before Memorial Day.

I use a crushed neoprene drysuit, which isn't always the easiest suit to work on. But, Mike had the suit done in 5 days! The work was spot on and these seals made my suit very, very comfortable. I really can't say enough about DRIS's service and workmanship.

I immediately took the suit on a 130 foot wreck dive in 41 degree Lake Michigan water. The silicone seals performed flawlessly and I felt like I wasn't wearing wrist seals at all. They were very easy to get on and off, and seemed to keep my wrists warmer than my HD latex seals. I ran one dive with 4th Element gloves and one dive with stretch over dry gloves; both were super dives. The freedom of movement was better than with my latex seals -- no tugging or pulling. This is especially good when you are trying to wiggle into a harness on a rocking boat.

I also have narrow wrists and easily pop wrist seals when I flex my hands. The silicone stayed molded to my wrist and I had zero water intrusion.

This is the best investment I have made in my drysuit.

If, within 60 days of your purchase from Dive Right In Scuba, you find the same item advertised by DRIS or another authorized SCUBA dealer for less, show us the ad and we'll give you 100% of the difference as a credit towards your next purchase of scuba diving equipment!  Whether you live in Joliet, Naperville, Chicago, Indiana, or Australia, we will give you the same great service as if you were standing in our store!

100% Price Protection does not apply to special order products (ie: Products that do not appear on our website)

How does it work?
Well, once we are able to verify the competitors lower price, we will approve the pricematch.  This will send you an email, and the price will automatically change for you to purchase at the new low price. For instance, if we are selling a product for $200 and you find it elsewhere for $180, your price with Dive Right In Scuba will be $180. To take advantage of this promotion and give us a call at 815-267-8400 or use our Price Match form on every product page.

* Be sure that your Pricematch is in your favor as sometimes our Loyalty Points is the better deal vs. a lower upfront price from a competitor.  Pricematches can not be combined with any other sales or promos.  Dive Right In Scuba has the right to decline any pricematch or make a counteroffer.  We typically do NOT pricematch bidding sites like eBay, but you can submit them and maybe we can make it happen!  Pricematching on discontinued items is allowed.

Dive Right In Scuba Price Match Policy is in good spirit and a way for us to communicate with our customers and always make sure they are getting the best deal.  There is never any intention to fool or trick anyone with our policies.  If you feel this policy is inadequate in your situation, please call us at 815-267-8400.

    • If it is within 60 days and the items are used, or are not returned with the original packaging, it's not a problem, we will provide you with Loyalty Points for 75% of your products purchase price, that can be used to purchase any other product we sell at Dive Right In Scuba*. * This can be changed at our discretion based on how used or damaged a product is*

    • If you have bought an item and it needs to be returned, your original shipping charges are non refundable.
    • Shipping charges are NOT refundable.  If you received Free Shipping on your order, and return it, the charges for the shipping will come out of your refund.  Shipping is inlcuded if you keep the product, a return voids the free shipping.
  • * Certain Items may incure a 10% re-stocking fee(can be higher dependings on custom options or special order).  High dollar items may have a re-stocking fee which covers transaction and shipping charges.  If it is an exchange, there might not re-stocking fee depending on the situation.  We are people too, so we try to make sure it works for everyone depending on what is going on.
  • * Custom items do not qualify for a full refund.  If an item doesn't fit, we will do everything to make sure you get a proper fit.  But, on custom items, there can't always be a 100% refund, due to the custom nature of the item.

To return an item, just follow the simple directions below and we’ll take care of the rest!

    1. Pack the item(s) securely. All returned products should be in the condition they were received in, as well as in their original packaging. Please remember to include all warranty cards and manuals.
