Dive Right In Scuba is your go-to destination for Scouts looking to earn their Scuba Diving Merit Badge while exploring the underwater world. Our Open Water Diver certification course is designed to fulfill the diving requirements of the badge and equip Scouts with the skills and knowledge they need to become safe and responsible divers.
Here's what you'll achieve on your journey to earning the Scuba Diving Merit Badge:
- Become a Certified Diver: Complete the Open Water Diver course, the foundation for all your future scuba diving adventures. This certification will allow you to dive with a buddy, independently, to depths of up to 60 feet.
- Learn Lifesaving Skills: Gain CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Provider certifications—essential skills for any diver and valuable for other Scouting activities.
- Master Water Skills: Complete a swim test and demonstrate your ability to float for 10 minutes, building upon the skills learned in the Swimming Merit Badge.
- Dive into Knowledge: Learn about the Scuba Diver's Code, underwater ecosystems, potential dive risks, and how to handle diving-related injuries and illnesses.

Remember: To earn your Scuba Merit Badge, you'll need to do more than earn you Swimming Merit Badge and get Scuba Certified at any RSTC Agency. You'll also need to be counseled through six additional education points by an accredited, trained, and local council-sanctioned BSA Scuba Merit Counselor.
