Gear Overview: Pinnacle's Tec-2 & Tecline 290 Undergarments

Midwest divers, we feel you! Those Great Lakes might be beautiful, but let's be honest, they can get a bit chilly, even in the summer months. That's why we were so excited to have these new undergarments in the shop for a recent demo – the Pinnacle Tec-2 Undergarment System and the Tecline 290 Undergarment.

When we got to see these bad boys getting unboxed, it was like Christmas in July-ish for our dive crew! Everyone from our seasoned instructors to the newbie who's still mastering his buoyancy control couldn't stop feeling the materials and peppering us with questions.

Tec-2 Undergarment System: Layered Warmth, Streamlined Fit

Forget bulky, uncomfortable undergarments that make you feel like a marshmallow man in a drysuit. The Tec-2 system is all about warmth without the bulk.

• Tec-2 Top: The top features two layers of 125g/m2 low-bulk technical fleece for exceptional warmth without sacrificing flexibility. Its 4-way stretch material ensures a snug fit that moves with you, and the smooth outer surface makes it easy to slip into your drysuit. Thumb loops and a warm collar are thoughtful additions that keep everything in place and seal out cold drafts. And the best part? It's machine washable for easy care!
• Tec-2 John: The matching john also boasts two layers of 125g/m2 fleece for core warmth. Like the top, it features a 4-way stretch and smooth exterior for comfort and easy donning. Foot stirrups keep it snug and secure, and the two-way main zipper offers convenience both in and out of the water.

Tecline 290 Undergarment: Your Heavy-Duty Cold Water Companion

If you're planning on braving those icy winter dives or venturing into deeper, colder depths, the Tecline 290 is your new best friend. With a whopping 290g/m2 of insulation, this full-body undergarment will keep you toasty warm even when the water temps try to turn you into a popsicle. Plus, it's packed with features that had our dive crew buzzing, including:

• Pre-bent arms and legs for ease of movement
• Venting panels for quick and easy air release
