Apeks

Apeks sprung from humble roots in the mid 1970’s in a small garage in the north of England. It was then that two friends, Ken Smith Ainscough and Eric Partington(interesting tidbit; the name, Apeks is their initials combined) married a love of diving with a sound knowledge of engineering. From that small garage, these two friends set to work designing and producing some of the most solid dive regulators on the market. In the ensuing years, Apeks has grown from that garage to a state of the art research and development facility and prides itself on developing not only regulators, but also bladders, instruments, and accessories to exacting specifications. This equipment outfits not only the British Navy, but discerning technical divers the world over.

A closer look at equipment from Apeks.

XTX 200 Regulator Set

As the flagship of the Apeks regulator line, the XTX 200 is a clear showcase of the founder’s vision. With a coldwater friendly balanced second stage and diver adjustable venturi and opening effort, the XTX 200 will provide adequate gas flow no matter what the depth or water conditions. What’s more, the XTX 200 is suitable for EAN 40 right out of the box and the ability to use in either a right or left hand configuration(making it a perfect solution for sidemount diving). The XTX 200 will take whatever you can throw at it.

Black Ice BCD

When the team at Apeks set to design a solid BCD solution to satisfy the most intrepid of diver, it was clear that it had to be both tough and functional. It also needed to cater not only to the recreational diver, but also the advanced and technical diver. This endeavor brought forth the Black Ice BCD. With weight integrated, back inflation providing 52 pounds of lift, the Black Ice is ready for whatever dive adventure you can throw at it. Go ahead, give the rugged 840 Denier Nylon construction a try, we’re confident you’ll like it!

Dry 75 Bag

No dive kit is complete without a way to transport the equipment, and the team at Apeks has clearly not forgotten this. Enter the Dry 75 Bag, with its full 75 liters of capacity constructed of tough 1000D and 500D nylon, you can be rest assured that your equipment will make it to the dive site safely and in style. What’s more, the ergonomic straps and foam lining will ensure that you can carry it comfortably. Add to that drain holes and you won’t have to worry about extra water in the bottom of the bag mucking up the works and adding weight to your load! So, grab one and load it up!

All of this and drysuits too!

No, seriously. Apeks also has amazing drysuits(if you’re into that sort of thing). Ready for some insane comfort and warmth? Then give the Fusion KVR1 with Aircore a close look! How about a whole set up, so you don’t have to worry about missing something? Well, we’ve got you covered with the KVR1 with Aircore Fusion Package that includes all undergarments and accessories needed for a solid dry diving experience!
