I really did not know what to expect from "wetnotes", being a new to the type of diving that has a need for this type of item. I was really pleased that the pages are reusable. The spiral bound set of coated pages are very sturdy, and clean easily with a magic eraser or something of that sort. The pencil is also great. The yellow plastic cover could use some improvement though, but is still intact after half a dozen dives. I used a zip tie and a bit of bungee cord to make a loop to secure the notebook in one of my pockets.

I have to say I'm surprisingly disappointed with HOG for these wetnotes. Right off the bat, the cheap vinyl cover likes to fall right off the notebook. The pages are 'stuck' together near the binding where the pages are perforated. (I will say that perforated pages are a nice touch though). There is no place to store the pencil, even trying to slide it in the spiral. With or without the vinyl cover on, it just won't fit anywhere. The pencil itself comes with a length of nylon string attached to it, which seemed fine at first, until it got caught in the velcro on my pocket flap.

The good points are the perforated pages and that it's a pretty thick notebook. Whether or not I'll buy another one, I'm not sure.

Love the wetnotes....hate the pencil and the cover though! The wetnotes themselves slip out of the cover and can be put into a better cover (I like the Dive Xtras, but they don't make them anymore). The pencil is little, the string isn't long enough, and the whole thing breaks easily.

But the wetnotes themselves are definitely worth the purchase!
