It features Liquivision’s patented tap-interface, a bright full-color OLED display, user-replaceable battery, robust ceramic pressure sensor, two mounting options (high quality strap or bungee-cord), and the proven Buhlmann-GF (ZHL16C) algorithm. I recently purchased the XEO because of it's excellent reputation for reliability and the outstanding support provided by Liquivision.

I hate to say it, but I did use that support. When I purchased my XEO it came with an older version firmware that made it hard to turn on the first time you insert a new battery. The customer service rep advised me to download and install new firmware and said it would correct that issue as well as add some fixes. Well, it did. The rep stayed on the phone with me until I was satisfied it was working fine throughout the entire process from installing drivers on my computer to downloading the firmware. I appreciated that touch.

As to how it works, well it's very simple to use and if you can use a PC, you can surely use this dive computer. It's menu driven and easy to setup and use. Under water, it's easy to read, I've had it in 2 feet of visibility and had no trouble reading it's display due to it's brightness, and that was on the lowest setting. The information it presents is logically laid out and you don't have to press this or that button to get there, or in this case tap here and there. Everything you want to know is right there on the main screen and I like that. It's so intuitive that a quick reading of the manual is about all you need to do. If you own a mac and use OSX installing the drivers isn't quite as easy as on a PC but it's not that hard either. Their dive log software isn't that pretty, I'd sure like something more advanced than Liquivision has, Someday soon MacDive 2 will support it natively and then I'll be completely satisfied. That's a nitpick, it doesn't reflect on the dive computer and it's operation.

It comes with a bungee cord as well as the traditional watch band type strap. I used the bungee cord on mine and appreciate how Liquivision included built in spots to attach the bungee to, so there is no need to buy anything more to use a bungee cord.

As is typical of Dive Right in Scuba, they were a pleasure to do business with. Although I'm not their best customer they sure treat me that way, and that's customer service that I'll reward by buying more things from them. If they have it I'd sure consider buying it from them first.
