How long is the warranty against flooding? A buddy in my dive club flooded one and he has less than 50 dives logged. There is no need to open it for charging, so I don't think it was a newbie mistake...

I compared this light to the UK SL3 and ScubaPro Nova 230. It's significantly brighter than both in terms of total light output. The SL3 is brighter than the Nova, but the spot size is not as tight. The Shorty's central spot is tighter than the SL3 and comparable to the Nova, which makes it a very nice signaling light for night or tech diving. Really good product. Dive Rite usual makes good products and this is no exception. The pocket has lots of room to fit many things like a spare mask, safety sausage, and spool with a few other extras. on the outside the webbing does a good job at holding on a dive knife, Z knife or trauma shears. For what its worth this product is also made in the US.
