It's tough to say enough about the quality of Atomic gear. Do a little research and you'll discover that they are one of the few brands that actually manufactures their own gear (as opposed to designing it and having it made in a factory overseas). They build their regs in California and each one is individually tested on a breathing machine prior to packaging. Keep in mind that the Z2 and some of the others come in your choice of both DIN and Yoke fittings on the 1st stage and sealed or unsealed on the first stage. Mine is DIN and sealed, which reduces the risk of freezing in cold temperatures and also helps to keep silt and other contamination out of the reg. Breathing is effortless and there is no need to adjust a Venturi lever - the reg does that automatically based upon pressure, which is why you don't see the typical lever on the 2nd stage in the pictures. My Z2 has no swivel in the first stage but it has 7 LP ports, including one on the bottom, which makes hose routing a snap in any configuration. All current Atomic regs are based on the same basic design and the primary difference among them is materials used inside. They all have the same ease of breathing and quality. You can't go wrong with the Atomic gear.
