The Xtreme Swivel removes the tension on your mouth, due to the hose pulling on the regulator. It also allows the regulator hose to drape nicely. This is the only Poseidon adapter, that I have found, that has the over pressure valve in it. On several Xstream models, Poseidon did not install an over pressure relief in the first stage. The only over pressure relief is in the end of the hose, where it attaches to the regulator. If your Xstream first stage does not have an over pressure relief built in (usually on the bottom of the first stage, or screwed into a HP port and red in color) make sure you purchase an adapter that has one built in.
