I use this vest to layer my 7MM Bare Arctic suit to dive in 50 degree waters in Monterey, CA. It really does make all the difference. It keeps me warm and once I upgraded to the Whites Heat Zippered Dry Hood and 4th Element 5MM Dry suit gloves I stay reasonably warm. This has allowed me to dive Monterey, CA without having to purchase a drysuit and undergarments. Thus, this has saved me money and time on equipment and learning how to dive dry. A must have for any cold water wetsuit diver.

This fits nicely under my 3/2. So far I've only worn it in the pool, but the pool was 78 degrees and it was nice under the 3/2 for some extra warmth. It should be good in Bonaire next week along with the beanie that I already got. It took a long time to get the vest on back order, but it was free with loyalty points, so can't complain about that! I think this vest is a good alternative to a 4 or 5mm if you already have a thinner full wetsuit.

I got this vest to go under my 7 mil for quarry diving and it really helps me stay warmer. I've had it in temp of 52 and it kept me much warmer than my 7 alone. the vest is also very lightweight and fits great.
