Our new line of Pathseeker Reels were designed to be the best performing primary dive reels available. Our spool is injection molded using glass filled nylon which is stronger than traditional ABS providing a durable core. This core is bolted to an aircraft grade aluminum handle using a one piece stainless steel shaft and is controlled by a stainless steel lockdown screw. All parts are engineered with the strictest tolerances which eliminate line traps or failures. Choose between two different models; our Pathseeker JR.(pn 203.9250) with 400ft of #24 nylon line or our Pathseeker (pn 203.9500) with 800ft of #24 nylon line. These will also be available soon with #36 line.

I own both the 800ft and 400ft versions, and this is an overall good reel, with a sturdy construction and very usable friction screw.

However, a couple of remarks:

- The side flasks could be thicker. They are, i.e., much thinner than the light monkey reels and feel you could break them by dropping a tank on the reel, which is not the case for the LM reels.

- Spacing around the reel flasks is a little too wide for my taste, it seems you could get cave line stuck in thee

- I moved the boltsnap away from its original attachment point and reconnected it with a cave line knot, as this is more convenient to use and makes it possible to cut it away in case the botlsnap gets jammed.

This is a sturdy reel, built for function and to avoid tangles. The design emphasizes a flush profile which minimizes snags if you are using it to shoot a bag. Having the clip permanently attached avoids is convenient and avoids it falling off which can easily happen with the Halcyon reels that are not attached permanently to their clips.
