Submited By: Evgeny L. on 12/01/2010 Verified Buyer I ordered a compass as a gift to my buddy. When I got the compass, I drew attention to the fact that compass rose limb has a slight tilt, but did not attach any importance to this. But after drop from a table the limb has tilted badly and compass has stopped working entirely. I dismantled the compass, and found two metal cylindrical balancers for limb leveling in a plastic clamps on the back side of the limb. Clamping force is clearly inadequate because the balancers can be easily dislodged after slack jerks and jolts. I do not know is it a single case or design bug, but my old Apollo compass successfully withstood more rigorous treatment for years. I have to admit that for me this item is the waste of money.
