I will start with the fact that I don't use a reel a lot. However this reel was a pain to use. I dive in cold water and it was hard to use with thick gloves on. I've also used a Halcyon reel that worked much better. If I was buying another reel it would be a Halcyon or a Light Monkey reel. Don't buy this for cold water diving. IT does function but not well. My main issue with it is the size of the lock down in realtion to the handle to wind the reel up, i.e. they are too close. DRIS is always great.
