These gloves have sturdy suede-like palms with a a bit of texture which is ideal for catching lobster. These gloves are thinner than the 3mm Bug Hunter Gloves but in warm tropical water, it works just well. Great buy for the money and Dive Right In Scuba has the best price.
Because of the ArmorTex palm, the gloves are stiff but hopefully they will loosen up. My only complaint is that they did not have a large which I initially selected and had to order XL. They called me personally to inform that I have an option of canceling the order or choose other sizes. I think they should remove the L if out of stock.
