I have one of these HP 80 tanks and it's wonderful for shore diving. It's shorter and lighter during shore entries than most and still has the awesome negative buoyancy characteristics one usually expects from HP tanks. If you are doing nice long, shallow dives, especially from shore like I do in southern California, then this is a great tank. The convertible valve handles HP fills with DIN or yoke nicely. It's hard to beat this tank since it holds about the same air as an AL80 and yet it's lighter, smaller, and allows you to take some weight off your belt. These tanks from XS scuba have filled the void nicely left by PST.
