Submited By: evan k. on 01/09/2011 Verified Buyer beefy & ergonomic. highland millworks backplate fabricated from stainless steel 316 alloy, model HL801. used this as the core of my hogarthian doubles kit. using a set of highland millworks speed nuts, plus some 2" webbing and a deep sea supply 49# wing, this makes a tight little kit. i chose this over the OMS, halcyon, and deep sea supply plates for alloy and fabrication quality; over the HOG, hollis, and zeagle for shape. a couple notes about the plate:
1) it has a two-bend design that fits highland 7.25" bands perfectly
2) the shape of the recess, and sides fits inside DSS wings without pinching
3) this is a full 6# negative, unlike some similar plates on the market
4) all the holes/slots are 3/8th" diameter
5) plenty of room for soft weights between plate and wing with 7.25" bands
6) flat bottom corners are not a problem, you only need angled ones if obese.
