Center panels are made from double-layered 3mm titanium neoprene with molded vent valves to release trapped air from within the hood.
7mm neoprene side panels, 5mm forehead, and 3mm chin offers optimum warmth, supreme comfort while eliminating jaw fatigue.

Whites dry Hood

A little pricey but does the job. No jaw pressure and confortable. Warm and the top vents wark as described. I am not sure the zipper is needed but it is easy to zip and seems well made. Mask did not slip as the hood has rubber grips on the sides for a good hold.

The Whites Heat Zip Hood is the 3rd Drysuit hood I have used. The first was a waste of money and I have been using a Gold Core 6/5 for the last year. I have now used this hood on all my deep dives since I bought it.

This hood is by far the easiest hood to don and doff, the zipper allows for a good snug, yet very comfortable fit. The triple vents along the top allow great flow and I have not had a single issue with air trapping or being able to clear my ears. This is also the warmest hood I have used to date and will be the last one I ever buy. If it ever wears out I will buy another.

Dive Right In Scuba shipped fast and when I had a question about sizing the hood and called, the employee asked for all my head measurements and then went and found the exact size I needed.....and he was dead on the money

I recently purchased the Whites Heat Zip Dry Hood. I dive in Monterey and it was 45 degrees when I dove Point Pinos, which is 3 miles out to sea. There was a 10-30 foot surge. Hence, the conditions were freezing. This hood was fantastic and kept my head perfectly warm. Since you lose the majority of heat through your head, this hood kept my core temperature warm.

However, I am not claiming I was "warm" during this dive as I was wearing a 7MM wetsuit and 5 MM boots and gloves, but I was warmer than my dive buddies who had standard 7MM wetsuit hoods on.

Previously, I had worn a 7MM wetsuit hood. Upon entering the water it would fill up with seawater and I could not hear a thing. It was uncomfortable and did little to keep my head and core warm. Conversely, this hood was comfortable, allowed me to hear my dive buddies prior to descent, and it kept my whole body noticeably warmer while wearing the same wetsuit, boots, and gloves.

I highly recommend this product for any cold water diver. I had previously purchased an Atomic Aquatics M1 regulator (which I highly recommend) from this site. With the points accrued from that purchase I got this hood for free!

Once again Dive Right in Scuba has offered incredible gear at unbeatable (lowest I have found) prices with fantastic customer service to boot. I commend James for his help with this purchase. He researched the exact hood that would fit my needs and the correct size for my head (he even asked for the measurements of my head) and contacted Whites on my behalf. This is above and beyond what I expected, and I recommend he is given a raise. (Maybe VP of the company at the very least).
