All I can say is WOW!!!! Until purchasing the Whites Fusion Tech in March 2013, it has been nearly 15 years since my last drysuit dive (previously I used a Viking vulcanized suit for commercial work). I was always one of those divers that had to be "wet" to be diving.... (besides, you don't really need a drysuit in FL. Right?). Well, continuing cave diving training and progressively longer dives in 68F to 70F water convinced me to buy a drysuit--and the Whites Fusion suits came highly recommended. After several calls to Dive Right In Scuba (thank you Mark and Richard!), all of my 'nervous new buyer' questions were answered and I ordered this suit. By the time I placed my order, it was only 2 weeks from my next trip--but no problem for DRIS. Debra made sure that Whites sent my suit out ASAP, and the DRIS crew installed my SLT neck and wrist system, and I received my drysuit with 2 days to spare! On to the suit: I'm a big guy, and ordered the 4x--expecting that although I'm in Whites size range the arm and leg size may be an issue...not the case. The inner-layer fit my 22" biceps without a problem, and no issues with leg diameter either (I've heard there were some issues with the early models of the Fusion). I'm not sure I could wear a heavy undergarment below the suit, but I don't dive in that cold of water.... In the water this suit behaves like a wetsuit. The neoprene and lycra outer layer prevents any type of "bubble issues" normally associated with a drysuit. As hard as I tried on my "checkout" dives with the suit I couldn't force enough air into my boots to float "feet up". The outer stretch layer also nearly eliminates any drag in the water that other suits may create. The other complaint I've heard about this suit is with donning/doffing the suit. Watch the video from Whites! If you follow their instructions (put your feet into the suit, and pull up the inner layer only to the top of your legs first--then put on the suspenders--then the arms) it's not that difficult to get into. The first couple of times I needed a little assistance grabbing the top to put my head through the neck seal--and in securing the zipper. After a few dives, I could get in and out of the suit nearly as fast as my old front-zip wetsuit! The pockets hold quite a bit of gear, and as long as the suit is zipped up, they stay in place (I carry a mask and backup light in one pocket, and a slate, tables, and a cutting tool in the other). If you try and walk around with the suit off the arms/head at the suspenders--you will look like a penguin due to pocket sag. Oh well--just keep the suit on. As I mentioned above, I purchased the SLT system with the Silicone seals. The silicone is extremely comfortable, and really stretches. For some reason Whites didn't send the extra seals with the suit--but Mike at DRIS made sure that I received the spare set (always good to have an extra in the field). After 8 days of heavy use, the only moisture in the suit was either condensation (cold air temps, warm(er) water), or perspiration. Not a leak on the suit. Best of all, I was still nice and warm after 1 1/2 dives! Now, I just need to get that relief valve installed.... To sum up, I was a little apprehensive to spend this much money on a drysuit that I hadn't even tried on. Mike and the DRIS team made the decision and the purchase as painless as possible--and the folks from Whites make a fantastic product. If you're looking for a drysuit--this is the one to buy, and DRIS is the place to buy it!

After diving wet for 3 years, I got this suit as my first introduction to diving dry. Now that I'm living I a colder climate I really would have stopped diving all but a few months a year if I hadn't done this. Going from diving wet to this suit was really no hassle, I found the change quite easy. While I don't have any point of comparison I really feel the unique nature of this suit is why it was so easy, never do I get unmanageable air pockets or floaty feet. I dive this all year now, but I am very cold averse.

This is my first, and possibly last dry suit I'll buy - I love it! I dive in the cool Atlantic waters near Boston and was tired of getting cold in my 7mm west suit. Whites Fusion dry suit is flexible and durable, water tight and comfortable. I bought the 4th Element under garments but recently saw White's new under garments and they look sweet. I also added dry gloves, and a Whites neoprene hood. Mike Pederson and his crew at DRIS are awesome, they have competitive pricing, a wide range of gear and the BEST customer service anywhere.

I bought the Fusion with Limited Ed. Tech skin MK2 package from DRIS, but it's not available anymore so I'll put my review under this package instead. I loved my wetsuit, kept me warm, was reliable, and lasted forever. Then one day I took a tech oriented class and said "I don't get cold in wetsuits". The very next dive my WS delaminated and I may have well dived naked. So I spent some months researching and trying all the different drysuits I could and finally settled on the Fusion (after first discounting it right off the bat). I was slated for another much deeper class and was scared about doing winter dives 100 ft in a worthless WS and so kept rescheduling in hopes I could spend at least 10 dives with the drysuit after it arrived. When it arrived I had enough time for about 3 dives before the class. Having never dived a drysuit in the past, my would-be instructor took me (on my 1st of the 3 dives) to 20 ft. and asked me to ascend to 10 ft. and hold a deco stop, I blew miserably, afraid to break trim in order to vent. After telling me it's okay to break time (ha ha ha), he had me to it again, then we continued the dive down to 78 ft. and I did just fine. To this day, when we're on boats (7 months later and about 50 dives), he always tells people that are looking at Drysuits that I only needed one dive to become comfortable with the drysuit and they might look in this direction. So, that said, it feels like a dream. The bubble is very easily managed, I have yet to experience a foot first ascent. Keep in mind, I have the semi-attached boots and keep the strap relatively tight, if I loosen them a bit I do feel air trip in my feet but have still not experienced a feet first regardless. It is easy to get in and out of. Cleaning it isn't too bad, it'll be the same as a wetsuit. You have to blast the sand out of it and even then, you can't get it all but nothing to complain about. The pockets (I believe they are the same on the Tech skin as the Tech LE skin) are small, but stretchy. After about 10 attempts to pull a wetnotes out of the pocket (be sure you make sure you have a line to clip off to so you don't lose anything) I still struggle immensely to get things back into the pocket at depth. I'm not happy about that but perhaps I just need more practice. I do have the permanent dry glove system installed and the only advice I have regarding that is 1) don't use the default Whites wrist seal, it's too thin to keep a seal (the seals are not permanently attached with this system) and 2) measure your arm length. For me, I need to lose about 1.5 inches to be completely comfortable. The rings ride to near my thumb and sometimes prevent me from reaching my clips but its tolerable. In all, I've very happy I bought the Fusion and would in a heartbeat buy it again. I tried a DUI and couldn't manage the bubble, so the Fusion is clearly different in that respect, from a Newbie's perspective. Mike really worked with me in so many ways before, during, and after the purchase. For example, there was an issue with the P-Valve installation and I ended up getting it corrected local to me, Mike took a portion of my repair bill (willingly) and credited it back into my loyalty points and has always been there to answer my many pestering questions about how to do this, that, and whatever. That definitely makes me happy with the experience overall considering a few points where I would have otherwise fumed. To wrap up: 1) great dry suit, 2) very easy to learn how to dive with, 3) service at DRIS can't be beat

My wife has resisted diving dry in the past because she feels restricted and even overwhelmed by a bulky drysuit. I recently purchased the Fusion Tech in an xxs-xs for her. When she tried it on, she immediately liked it. It is light weight, easy to don and doff, and flexible. The next day, we dove some wrecks in Lake Superior and she was relaxed, comfortable, and warm and dry! Her buoyancy and trim were perfect, no squeeze, easy inflation and venting. Its a very good looking suit as well. I now have a new cold water diving buddy! DRIS was incredibly helpful with communication and with expedited shipping. I will definitely buy my next suit from DRIS. Just need to sell my Bare Trilam HD Tech.

The way this suit is designed it fits many body shapes like a glove. It is non restrictive and dives great-- a real feeling of freedom in the water. It is easy to self zip/unzip which is very nice. I only got a couple dives in this suit but am very happy with it--- hope it last a loooong time!
