How it Works This advanced patent technology (U.S. Patent No. 6,715,149 & others pending) includes 2 layers. The First Layer (Dry Core) is a loose fit, lightweight membrane dry suit that incorporates latex seals, a dry zipper and air intake and exhaust valves to create the waterproof barrier. A second "over suit" made with a durable stretch fabric is attached to the Dry Core at the wrists, ankles, valve openings and dry zipper to create the form fit.

The Fusion has to be the greatest thing to ever happen to drysuits, since the invention of the inflator valve!

Finally, a custom fit at an off-the-rack price! I'm tall and skinny, an have always had problems finding a well-fitting drysuit. If I got something that fit my chest/hips, the length was too short. If I got something for my height, the girth was for someone at least 30-40 pounds heavier, resulting in a LOT of extra air space. The Fusion solved this problem! Get something that will fit my height, and the outer layer will pull the extra girth in!

I've got the sport skin, and have no problems with it's durability. Even as a full time instructor, the sport skin has held up admirably. Flexibility is barely impaired by the suit itself, although heavy undergarments can affect elbow flexibility a little bit. I can't say it's as flexible as a 3mm wetsuit, but I don't have any problems reaching my tank valve, even in heavy inners.

I have the Viking bayonet mount dry gloves. The Fusion seems like it's made for them. There is a nice cover on the end of the sleeves that covers up the end of the dryglove cuffs, making then appear as if they are integrated.

I love my Fusion, and I recommend it to anyone considering a drysuit.

I used to dive with a neoprene drysuit and the struggle of getting into and out of my drysuit really took a lot of the fun out of my day. Enter the Whites Fusion...What a change!! This suit is extremely easy to don/doff, and the flexibility once I'm in is truly spectacular. I have used this suit for 15 dives since I got it - it seems as rugged as my old heavy neoprene - so far no problems with brushing up against rocks/barnacles etc. The bubble is easy to maintain/distribute. I am an awkward size, being a short, busty woman, but with the lycra skin over the loose bag, I feel like I have a complete custom fit - I love it!!
DRIS was, as always a breeze to deal with. Good communications and fast delivery.

I recently purchased the Fusion Sport drysuit after considering several different options. I ended up going with the Fusion Sport over other models for a number of reasons:

- The boots can be changed easily. Many other dry suits have boots that are attached to the suit and require cutting the suit and gluing new boots on. As boots will eventually wear out, this can be a problem. Plus, I have large 13-14 feet and do not fit in most standard sized drysuits.

- The sizing is awesome! Most other drysuit companies have 20 different sizes and you still have to get it custom fit. The fusion fits like a glove and they only need to carry 5 different sizes!

- The removable outer layer is great! I purchased the Lycra Sport skin so that I would have it for easy, recreational dives - and so it is lighter for traveling. For wreck/tech dives I can swap out the skin for something that will be more rugged. Plus, Whites seems to be developing new skins frequently which make "upgrading" your suit easy and affordable!

- This suit is easy to self-don. Many other suits require that you have someone else open and close the zipper.

Overall I have been very happy and have recommended this suit to others.
