It starts with a unique dual power electronic circuit to control the matched pair of 3-watt white LEDs. Polarized battery contact plates make it possible to interchange individual battery cells and rechargeable packs as well as prevent potentially dangerous reverse battery insertion. The rubber lens guard, non-breakable locking switch and interchangeable handles are examples of diver hardened construction throughout. The C8 eLED is the brightest in its class, perfect for piercing the darkness and looking into the great unknown. Special features include:

Only as bright as a UK D4
The lighting is brigth white, but its not as bright as i would've imagined it.
After having it for a season of work dives, the switch is faulty and randomly cuts off underwater.

Its a sturdy light that buts out a decent amount of light. The beam is a bit wide for my tastes, which makes it a poor signaling light. It does do a nice job of lighting subjects for a camera in dark environments (because it lacks a tight hot spot). Its a decent starter primary light and makes an excellent backup-primary light once you get your canister light. Easy to replace batteries and it works well with rechargeable batteries.

I use this as my primary light. It works great and I've never had a problem with it. While it isn't as bright as a $900 can light, it is a great light at a great price.

I was doing my checkout dives and my instructor had the aquasun. I kinda felt bad because it was more expensive than my light so it should have put mine to shame, but mine put out just as much light as hers.
