Submited By: Jonathan S. on 10/08/2012 This is my first dry suit and Mike was absolutely stellar at helping me out, going so far as getting the suit modified at the factory for me. DRIS also installed SI Tech wrist and neck seals and I cannot recommend this enough, as I dive with two others with the latex seals and they're "less than enthused".
I'm 6'1" and the size large was perfect for height, another inch shorter and I'd of been out of luck.
The cut of the suit overall is fairly form-fitting for a dry suit, and once it's in the water it snugs up nicely. I do wish that it had gators though: the legs are snug at the bottom but there's still plenty of room for air to travel and get trapped.
The suit's material is very durable, my first trip out we came back in on some bad surf and I took a tumble on the rocks. My legs took a beating but the suit didn't have a mark on it. The outer material does require a little more care when cleaning though, as it's a rough surface that likes to catch all manner of sand and gunk.
It is also like wearing a thick trash bag underwater, but I knew the thickness of the material going in and with a proper undergarment it's not uncomfortable after a few minutes.
As a final note, get a good dry suit hangar and a fan, not having hard boots you can't hang it upside down so you'll have to rely on air movement to get it dried out all the way (especially if you flood it with seawater and have to wash out the inside).
