IMO, there is no better dive computer on the market at this time for technical diving, or recreational if you chose to use it for such.
Liquivision's support is second to none. I originally purchased a used Gen 1 X1 which failed on me after a number of dives and to my surprise they replaced it with a new Gen 5 version and had it mailed to me on my vacation. Since then I have purchased a second X1 as a backup on tech dives.
As most know, the readability is incredible at just about any angle, which I have found not to be the case on the Predator's OLED screens due to the large Plexiglas face. You also have the ability to chose the firmware (software) you install and have a number of different deco models you can chose from. VPM B/E, GF. (I currently am runing MultiDeco on both of my X1's) V-Planner live matches up almost perfectly when cutting tables / planning a dive with the X1 running V-Planner Live or MultiDeco.
The tap interface is superb when using thick gloves and the menus are extremely easy to navigate. One of the best learning curves of any tech computer on the market.
I'm glad to see DRIS has picked up the Liquidvision line.. I'll be purchasing a XEO from then as soon as they are released to replace my Galileo SOL I've used for recreational diving.
