Verified Buyer I ordered one each of the three din plugs that DRIS has in it's catalog and I really didn't notice a difference. This is the counterpart to the din cap and it serves the same purpose of protecting the threads. although it has an o-ring, there is a hole for the string all the way through the cap that allows gas to escape in case the valve is turned on while the cap is on. Removing a plug under pressure is not a desirable activity, especially when you're ready to put the first stage onto your valve. Although the hole keeps it from being watertight, it does keep out debris and dust.
