I have used my HD-100 now for over 1yr or 30 dives.#1 I trust Hollis and own several of their products. .The quality level is always top notch.Yes,this B/c tends to lend itself for the Rec/Tech diver.The big difference one notices is the room one has for your arms.Very helpful if you have a drysuit on.The pockets are also handy,flashlight,slate etc.You will stand out as a Diver with this B/C.The cleaning access for vision a check to the bladder is also very easy.
As another comment.Mike has always treated his customers with respect & given them the best possible deals..BTW.Just got a Hollis DG02 computer.will be writing up a review for that after my next trip up & coming.

This BC is _very_ comfortable, specially after wearing a Ranger for a couple dives. There are plenty of D-rings around the sides going up the back and a very large D-ring at the back on the bottom which is perfect if you have a slightly longer strap on your deco bottle.

This BC is very good as a rec BC, but I think it's better and cheaper to go with a BP/W if you're looking at this BC though. But if you're a recreational diver or don't want to go with a BPW, you won't be disappointed.
