After all these month since I bought the plate back in June of 2009, it still shines like it just got shipped. The plate was very constructed, weights 6 lbs, and very nice size for me back. Not only inexpensive, but really tough as I took this play down to 200 feet before. A great backplate for those that don't want to pay so much.

There's not many differences in backplates except the quality of how they're finished. This is a nice one. The holes and slots are all nicely deburred and have smooth rounded edges. The three holes on top and slot on the bottom allow you to mount your tanks right where you want them, even if your last plate had slightly different hole spacing. Overall, a quality backplate at a good price - and the matte black finish is cooler looking than unfinished aluminum.

This backplate's bolt pattern allows mounting the cylinders a little lower than most backplates with the "standard" 3-hole pattern. In addition, its an all-around good quality plate and you can't beat the price. The only change I could remotely suggest is for Edge to build a version with bent corners...but thats purely a "nice-to-have". My OMS AL plate just got replaced by this one...
