Heat up the old one, pull it off, heat up this one and roll it on....Sounds easy! Its a little more difficult than that, but this neck seal makes repairing your drysuit a breeze!!

Due to NOT knowing if you need the tape on the inside or outside of the seal, the tape does NOT come on the seal. Some suits have the seal installed on the inside, some on the outside...due to this, we do not install the tape on seal.

Please measure around your neck and use the below guideline for picking your size. Do not use your dress shirt size, physically measure around your neck for the best fit.

I used this on my first-ever drysuit repair. I used a hairdryer to remove the old seals and an iron (on polyester: level 2 of 4 on my iron) to attach the adhesive to the seal, and the seal to the suit. Everything worked out OK, except that I didn't get the seal perfectly centered. It works, but it's not the most attractive. Start at the front, so that at least the front looks good! :)

One thing to be aware of: this adhesive will only bond to rubber or urethane (or existing glue)--but not nylon! So, you will want to most likely leave the old seals there if they are in solid condition. In my case, though, the seals were cracked and needed to be removed. So, I ended up having to bond them to the inside of the (bilam) suit, rather than the top as the old ones were.

Worked Great! This one was a perfect fit for my Whites Fusion dry suit. I didn't have a heat gun, but between the cost of the seal and the heat gun I was able to do the repair myself quicker and for far less than it would have cost to take it to the shop. Didn't have MEK, so I used repeated wipe-downs with acetone (nail polish remover) to clean up the gluing surfaces, which seems to have worked well. I was intimidated by the project at first, but once I jumped in I realized I had nothing to fear. It was a piece of cake! I've been diving it since October 2010 (it's now July 2011) and it's held up extremely well! No leaks and the seal quality is great. Sizing was an accurate fit, too. When I first cut it, however, I did leave it a little tight to cover for latex fatigue. I don't know if these will fatigue ("stretch") much over time, but at this point it's very comfortable. Don't forget to get the seal saver to keep your seals lasting a long time, too!

I ordered the neck seal on a Saturday, got it on Wednesday, and dove it Thursday. Super easy and strong. Had a couple questions on cleaning prior to adhesion, and both were answered with genuine concern and not with the "how many times am I going to hear this same question" attitude that is found with some online stores. The staff was prompt and courteous. Had only one issue with the first dive with the new seal, and that was that a wrist seal tore. Guess thats why I am here, to get wrist seals. Guess thats what I get for diving it hard and putting it away wet last Spring.....If the wrist seals are as great and easy as the neck seal, I am a customer for life! Great job with the dry adhesive. Very flexible and if you mess it up a little, heat it up a bit and it'll move a lil for you. Love it!
